   The State of Israel is involved in a war after having been attacked just over
   two weeks ago. The war is having various economic effects, both on real
   activity and on the financial markets. The Bank of Israel has taken a number
   of policy measures to deal with the situation. The financial markets are
   functioning, and a large part of economic activity is continuing as usual.

   Since the beginning of the fighting, the Bank of Israel Governor has set out
   a number of principles for the banking system’s activities during this
   period. This included emphasizing the need to show extra sensitivity and
   provide responses to customers, with particular emphasis on those living near
   the Gaza Strip, the families of the victims, and the families of mobilized
   forces.

   G30 Forum*, alongside Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central
   Bank, BIS General Manager Augustin Carstens, and Bank of England Governor
   Andrew Bailey, as part of the annual conference of the International Monetary
   Fund and the World Bank taking place in Marrakesh, Morocco.
