TRIP INTRODUCTION

The Inka Jungle Expedition is one of the most popular excursions in Cusco when
traveling to Machu Picchu. This trip is a mixture of different heart pumping
activities. Start your trip on bikes and run downhill from 4000 m.a.s.l to 1500
m.a.s.l; hike using an original Inka trail and after that take a rest in the
natural hot springs. Cross the mountains over 200 meters from the ground on a
zip line. Finally, having the opportunity to see Machu Picchu from another
perspective and visit the city early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise.

OVERVIEW

During 4 days on the Inca Jungle Trail we will be able to experience 4 extreme
sports such as biking, rafting, zip lining, hiking, to finally reach Aguas
Calientes and have the option of visiting Machu Picchu early in the morning with
our specialist guide who will accompany us from the beginning. In order to
explain each of the details both in the semitropical landscapes of the area
where you can appreciate local fruit trees and coffee to the history of the
Wonderful Machu Picchu.



DAY 1: CUSCO – MÁLAGA PASS – SANTA MARÍA

After breakfast in the early morning, our bus will pick up you up from your
Hotel and will cross the sacred valley to Malaga pass (4000 m.a.s.l) arriving to
the highest point where you will have a brief safety training before you start
biking. We will feel the adrenaline rush while we zoom down 60 kilometers for 2
or 3 hours crossing streams and stopping at view points and overlooks along the
way. We will then take our bus to Santa Maria to have lunch. The afternoon is
the best moment. We will be jump into the river and take on the rapids for 1 ½
hours. At the end of this exciting day, we will return to our hostel to have
dinner and a daily recap with our guide who will provide information for the
next day.

DAY 2: SANTA MARÍA – QOQALMAYO – SANTA TERESA

We will continue our expedition to Machu Picchu by walking into the jungle and
visiting some local houses to learn more about the coffee production, coca
plantation, and different varieties of organic fruits. At this moment we can
take our time to relax and taste unique and natural Peruvian flavors by taking
one cup of coffee directly from the coffee crops. We will continue our trek by
taking the original Inka trail while enjoying the beautiful landscapes. We will
stop for lunch and to rest at a local restaurant in the jungle and have a quick
orientation and recap of the day with our guide. After lunch we will continue
our journey with a stop at the hot spring to relax our muscles for an hour
before will take our bus to Santa Teresa to have dinner.

DAY 3: SANTA TERESA – AGUAS CALIENTES

After breakfast, we will get our heartrate pumping by crossing the valleys via
zipline using 5 different cables and one suspension bridge. After this we will
go to the hydroelectric to have lunch and then have a nice walk through lovely
subtropical vegetation. At the bottom of Machu Picchu mountain, we will have the
first view of the city from below and finally will arrive to Aguas Calientes.

DAY 4: MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

Will catch the bus early in the morning to have the opportunity to see the
sunrise. After exploring the most important sectors of the city with your guide
for 2 hours you will have time to explore this magical place alone. Consider
this your own sacred city! At the end of the day we will catch the bus to return
to Aguas Calientes and take the train for return to Cusco.

**Huayna Picchu is an optional walk inside the Citadel of Machu Picchu that does
not include a guide. The ascent is usually done on your own after your tour of
the Citadel of Machu Picchu. If you would like the additional walk to be guided,
please request it in advance. There is an additional cost for this additional
guided tour.

Please read the following information carefully. This will help you resolve your
doubts and/or questions about our services

ARRIVAL IN CUSCO

All our services start at the airport of the city of Cusco where our driver will
be waiting for the arrival of your flight to be able to drive you to the hotel
of your choice, this service has no additional cost.
For which it is necessary that you provide us with your flight details and
confirmation 1 or 2 days before your arrival in the city, our staff will be
waiting with the Terra Peru Aventuras sign which you have to locate.

THE BRIEFING

The briefing is the information that is provided to our clients prior to a trip,
this will be done one night before the selected activity at the hotel of their
stay. In general, the schedule will depend on the other activities that you have
planned to carry out, but many times it usually takes place between 6 and 7 at
night.

HOW CAN I BOOK THE INCA JUNGLE TREK 4 DAYS TOUR?

To start a reservation, the first thing we request is your personal data along
with the details of the date you would like to do the walk, then we will request
an advance payment of 40% of the total value of the walk in order to generate
the purchase of the necessary tickets for the tour.
After the deposit, our reservation staff will send you the confirmation of the
reservation of the Tour which will include the DATE, NAME OF THE TOUR, PERSONAL
DATA OF THE CLIENT, AMOUNT DEPOSITED AND AMOUNT PENDING PAYABLE UPON ARRIVAL IN
THE CITY.
Terra Peru Aventuras offers you different payment methods depending on your
needs, from bank deposits, transfers via Wester Union, as well as PayPal
(consider +8% to the deposit to be made for reasons of bank commissions)

WHEN DO I MAKE THE FINAL PAYMENT OF THE TOUR?

In general, the total payment must be made upon arrival, we recommend making the
payment in cash, due to commission issues from international banks that may be
unfavorable to you in case you want to make a payment with your credit card. Our
staff gives you more details about it.

CAN I CHANGE THE DEPARTURE DATE AFTER I HAVE PURCHASED THE TICKETS?

For all our tours with the exception of Machu Picchu, Inca Trail, Salkantay,
yes! is possible to modify the date without any cost, this must be communicated
to our staff as soon as possible in order to carry out the procedures for the
modification with a new date.

WHAT HAPPENS WITH ALTITUDE SICKNESS?

Any good experience will depend on a good physical condition, if you practice
any physical activity regularly you should not worry about a possible altitude
sickness, however as an additional recommendation we suggest acclimatizing, in
this sense you should consider spending at least 3 days to do some walk and 1
day to be able to carry out some activity or cultural tour.
There are medications that could achieve better acclimatization, but since we
are not doctors, we suggest you drink plenty of water and coca infusions to
achieve better acclimatization.

WHEN THE TOUR ENDS, DO YOU TAKE US TO THE HOTEL?

Everything will depend on the style of travel that you chose. Our clients who
travel in a private service have the option of ending the tours at their hotel.
However, those who opt for a group tour, our tour ends in the Plaza Regocijo or
close to it so that you can walk without any worries to your hotel.
