THE LIFE-CHANGING MAGIC OF TIDYING UP TECH

Hey! I’m Alex, this is my site, welcome.

I’m a CTO with over twenty years of technology leadership experience in
e-commerce and software-as-a-service product development, spanning start-up to
enterprise. I lead organisations through significant periods of technical
change.

Generally the organizations I work with have been extremely successful in some
aspect of their business model, but are facing limitations on the technology
side of things–this could be wrong technology choices, wrong team, or simply
limiting beliefs. I help them break through those limits.

In common parlance, I’m a holistic full-stack CTO. I lead from the front and the
back, focussing on designing organizational culture and demonstrating behaviour
(often called “modelling”) by example.

I tend to write about software development and technology.
