This morning a select group of Goons had the pleasure to attend a breakfast
hosted by Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC,
Governor of Victoria (Governor of Victoria) . We shared our club story and
talked about the good work we do throughout Australia.
We are all grateful for this opportunity and for the recognition from the
Governor of all the hard work and dedication of our Tough Guy Book Club
Volunteers. We're happy to say that the Governor was impressed with our club,
what we do, and the communities we've built. This sort of stuff is
encouraging and shows how all TGBC members make a difference and help us to
deliver on our mission of getting men to read more, talk more, and have more
friends.
Well done to the Goons who represented us, you scrubbed up well. And a
sincere thanks to all of our Goons who help make our club what it is.

This month's challenge is #checkit24: get your blood pressure checked by a
doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. Basically get it checked by someone who knows
what they're talking about and who can give you advice.
Getting your blood pressure checked is an easy and basic way to monitor your
general health. Well done to the Goons who went out there and did something
good for themselves. And well done to the Goons who doubled up this month's
challenge with donating blood. Great effort lads.
There's still a week left until chapter meetings, so still plenty of time to
complete the challenge and get your blood pressure checked.
