PEP CLOTET SET TO LEAVE BIRMINGHAM CITY

It's been a rough few years for Birmingham City.

After their heartbreak in the play-offs back in 2012, the club have deteriorated
rather rapidly, narrowly escaping relegation last season.

St Andrews has seen ten new faces on the sidelines since their 4th place finish
eight years ago, and this number will soon tick over to eleven.

Pep Clotet has announced that he will be leaving the Blues at the end of the
season, meaning a new manager market has opened up with SkyBet. We've looked
into the next Birmingham City manager odds below - prices subject to change.


NIGEL CLOUGH BIRMINGHAM ODDS

Nigel Clough is the standout favourite at 13/8. His price has quickly dropped
since the market was released, having initially been given a huge underdog price
of 25/1.

The Englishman recently spoke to The Athletic, claiming he would 'love' another
go in the Championship, with Sky Sports also reporting that the club have
already held preliminary talks with the former Burton manager.

Clough left the Brewers back in May due to financial troubles, but he is clearly
keen to get straight back into things. His price to get the job dropped soon
after Sky reported the news, with his tag as the favourite remaining consistent
since Monday 15th.

LEE BOWYER BIRMINGHAM ODDS

Just like Clough, Sky Sports also cited Lee Bowyer in being a candidate on
Birmingham's shortlist.

The 43-year-old is a familiar face around St Andrews, having spent three seasons
as a player there from 2009-2011. He was an important player for the Blues and
was part of the successful Alex McLeish era.

Will his strong ties with the club play a part? SkyBet currently have him at 4/1
to be the next Birmingham manager, with his price moving rather inconsistently
since the market opened.

He was initially given a fair chance at 10/1, before then rising to 14/1 on
Tuesday 9th. He seemed to be a popular pick as speculation intensified though,
and he soon becomes one of the frontrunners at 2/1.

Although this price has been on a small drift again, we expect his name to stick
around. Charlton currently find themselves in the relegation zone, and Bowyer
may identify the Birmingham job as a step up in his managerial career.


NEIL WARNOCK SLAVISA JOKANOVIC ARE HOVERING

Neil Warnock is a reoccurring name when it comes to Championship jobs.He has
been linked with various roles since leaving Cardiff City back in November, a
place he left with many fond memories. Warnock's experience in the division is
almost unparalleled, hence his inclusion in so many of these markets.

The Englishman currently has a price of 6/1, having initially been granted a
chance at 10/1. He was quickly backed into 2/1 just last week, but his odds have
slightly drifted.

Also coming in with odds of 6/1 is Slavisa Jokanovic. The Yugoslavian will be
more known for his time at Fulham as opposed to his current position - he is in
Qatar managing Al-Gharafa. 6/1 is the shortest price he has been since the
market opened up.


NEXT BIRMINGHAM MANAGER ODDS

Moving into the larger odds now and Chris Hughton pops up at 12/1. The former
Birmingham manager was the last man to take the club into the play-offs back in
2012, before then leaving for Norwich City. He left Brighton at the end of last
season and hasn't found a new position since, but would he see Birmingham as a
step down?

His last two jobs have been in the Premier League, and the Blues look quite some
way part reaching the promise-land anytime soon.

Could the answer be even closer to home? Assistant manager Lee Carsley's price
has been on the drift, currently sitting at 12/1. He has occupied the role of
caretaker in the past, but the board are clearly identifying more experienced
options at present.
