APPLIED SCIENCES LABORATORY

ASL is customer oriented, focusing on solving problems for industry and
government agencies using a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses the
sciences and engineering. ASL’s primary focus areas include energy, national
security, advanced materials/sensors, and biomedical applications. The
scientific underpinnings to address the multidisciplinary challenges involve
optical physics, materials science, chemistry, biomedical engineering, and
