9hSeahawks HC Pete Carroll said RB Kenneth Walker (questionable, shoulder) is
expected to play in Week 16.
Walker emerged from the team’s week 15 game against the Eagles with a shoulder
injury, which prevented him from practicing on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
Carroll said he expects their lead back to be able to play on Sunday against the
Titans after a limited session on Friday. Fantasy managers will want to confirm
Walker’s status 90 minutes prior to their 1 ET kickoff.
Geno Smith
SEA Quarterback #7
9hGeno Smith (groin) was removed from the Week 16 injury report and will play
against the Titans.
The news isn’t a surprise as Pete Carroll told as as much earlier in the week.
Still, it’s a good sign that Smith made it through a week of full practices
without any rumbles of a setback. After missing two games because of the groin
issue, Smith will return to face a Titans defense that is vulnerable through the
air. He will rank as a high-end QB2 for Week 16.
Josh Jacobs
LV Running Back #8
9hJosh Jacobs (quad) was upgraded to a limited participant in Friday’s practice.
Jacobs also had an illness designation added to his injury report. Interim head
coach Antonio Pierce told reporters he expects Jacobs to return this week and
limited practice in the middle of the week makes that increasingly likely. We
will know more on Jacobs’ status when the team releases their final injury
report on Saturday. Assuming Jacobs is good to go, he will rank as a RB2 versus
the Chiefs.
Jerick McKinnon
KC Running Back #1
9hJerick McKinnon (groin) did not practice Friday.
McKinnon has been managing the groin issue for Weeks and even missed Week 13
because of it. He has one more day to get back on the practice field or else the
Chiefs will likely give him the week off to recover. If he can’t go, Clyde
Edwards-Helaire would see some extra work on passing downs, though fantasy
managers wouldn’t want to start him as a massive favorite versus the Raiders.
Kadarius Toney
KC Wide Receiver #19
9hKadarius Toney (hip) did not practice Friday.
Hip previously missed time with the hip issue but has been active for every
Kansas City game since Week 12. If he can’t suit up, the Chiefs will likely get
Richie James more involved in the offense. Either way, Rashee Rice is the only
Chiefs receiver fantasy managers should care about for Week 16.
Hunter Henry
NE Tight End #85
10hHunter Henry (knee) is questionable for Week 16 against the Broncos.
Henry sustained the knee injury on a low hit from Chiefs corner L’Jarius Sneed
in Week 15. He was listed as questionable to return but did not retake the
field. Two limited practices to close the week means he has a shot at playing in
Week 16. If he manages to suit up, Henry will rank as a high-end TE2.
Rhamondre Stevenson
NE Running Back #38
10hRhamondre Stevenson (ankle) will not play in Week 16 against the Broncos.
Stevenson did not return to practice this week and is still working his way back
from the high-ankle sprain he suffered in Week 13. Ezekiel Elliott will continue
to dominate the Pats’ running back touches in his absence. Zeke has 45 touches
for 186 yards from scrimmage over the past two weeks. He will again rank as an
RB2 for his Week 16 matchup with Denver.
DeVonta Smith
PHI Wide Receiver #6
10hDeVonta Smith (knee) did not practice Friday.
Smith did not practice on Thursday either. He still has one more day to return
to practice as the Eagles don’t play until Monday. If he does miss Week 16, the
Eagles would be forced to funnel more short-area targets to Dallas Goedert and
D’Andre Swift while also throwing to A.J. Brown as many times as he can handle.
Fantasy managers should still leave the light on for Smith as it’s
understandable for him to get plenty of rest in practice as the playoffs
approach.
Mason Crosby
