WHAT'S INSIDE YOUR CUP?

Some Motivation from Austin Tang:

You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or
shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere. Why did you spill the
coffee?

“Because someone bumped into me!!!”

Wrong answer.
You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup. Had there been tea
in the cup, you would have spilled tea. Whatever is inside the cup is what will
spill out.

Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is
inside you will come out. It’s easy to fake it until you get rattled.

So we have to ask ourselves…“what’s in my cup?”

When life gets tough, what spills over? Joy, gratefulness, peace and
humility? Anger, bitterness, harsh words and reactions?

Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.

HEALING THROUGH MUSIC, DANCE AND COMMUNITY...

On an expansive farm called Elandskloof, rows of tall, ancient leafy trees, a
river running through the land and a container of mountains held space for more
than three thousand people attending Retreat Yourself this year. Joined by other
open hearted, truth seeking souls, my family and I bathed in the Utopian safety,
community, sharing, music and joy shared at this annual gathering. People
usually experience collective ecstasy through sex, drugs, cult and God. But
these contexts often hide a darker undertone. In a world fast failing at mental
wellness, where anti depressants are the 12th most commonly prescribed drug in
America and 1 in 5 Americans are taking a psychiatric medication, finding
healthy balms for the human spirit is both vital and necessary.
