AMORTIZATION BASED ON START/END DATES

Hi Pigment team! I am trying to setup a amortization schedule as following. Can
you please help? Orange is given resources Green is the output that I would like
to have in the table/metric Blue is just validation for myself which aligns with
the orange Total column and doesn’t need to be in the model Following is the
formula I used in excel: For 1/31/2023 Column alone, formula is
=($V5/$AS5)*((AV$4-$AQ5)+1) For 2/28/2023 and onwards, formula is
=IF(EOMONTH($AR264,0)<AW$4,0,IF(AW$4<=$AR264,($V264/$AS264)*(TEXT(AW$4,"d")),($V264/$AS264)))
I tried using the following formula in playground for 1/31/2023 column, but it
doesn’t seem to work. IF(Month.'Start Date'=DATE(2023,01,1),('RSU Accounting
Data'.'Expense Amortized Future'/'RSU Accounting Data'.'Amortization # of Days')
* DAY(Month.'End Date')) Thanks for helping out!

APPLY CONDITIONAL FORMATTING BASED ON ANOTHER METRIC

Conditional formatting based on another Metric allows you to apply conditional
formatting on a Metric or Dimension Item based on the outcome of a Metric within
the same table. The flexibility to format based on more specific conditions
gives you greater depth when analyzing your data. COMING SOON! Completely new to
conditional formatting? Not a problem. We recommend that you first take a look
at Apply Conditional Formatting to Highlight Data Changes . This article
introduces you to conditional formatting. It describes how to apply conditional
formatting, explains conditional formatting rules, and also helps you understand
formatting options. Considerations Before you start applying conditional
formatting based on the outcome of another Metric, here’s some useful
information to keep in mind: Application compatibility: You can apply
conditional formatting based on another Metric to a Metric Header. In this
instance, Pigment compares all cells belonging to the other Metric to those

SET UP ACCESS RIGHTS ON SCENARIOS

Coming Soon When you set up Access Rights for Scenarios, you’re ensuring that
only specific users have the appropriate level of access to view and modify
Scenario data within your Workspace. Because you are configuring access rights
according to Role, you control who can read, write, or simply have no access to
specific Scenarios. This helps to maintain data security and confidentiality, as
well as encouraging collaboration and efficiency in Scenario planning and in
decision-making processes. You need to be a Workspace Security Admin Account
Type in order to define access rights on any/all Scenarios. We strongly
recommend that you read Access Rights on Scenarios before you set up Access
Rights on Scenarios. You have two options to set up Access Rights for each
Scenario. The first option is at the Application level, within the Roles,
Permissions, and Access page. Here, you configure Scenario restrictions on a
role-by-role basis for the application. The other option is at Scenario level,

ACCESS RIGHTS ON SCENARIOS

Coming Soon When working in Scenarios in Pigment, you can enhance data security
by restricting the access rights on the Scenario to defined Members based on
their Role in the Application. Scenarios data will be restricted and the names
are only displayed in the Page Selectors on Views and Boards for certain Members
with assigned access rights. This allows you to keep the data on specific
Scenarios private, and also makes it easier to find and select relevant
Scenarios for those users on a View or Board. Required Reading Considerations

you’d use restricted Scenarios. Let’s say you want to develop a Scenario for

SHOW SCENARIO VARIANCE AND YOY VARIANCE IN THE SAME TABLE

How can I show the scenario variance and YoY variance in the same table? I’d
also like to be able to collapse month » quarter » year as needed. Currently,
it’s showing YoY columns for all scenarios. Also, is there a way to restrict
which metrics a calculated item pertains to? Lastly, is there a way to hide
columns in a table? Thanks!

NETSUITE BALANCE SHEET - MONTH OVER MONTH HISTORICAL

I am trying to rebuild our Balance Sheet reporting from NetSuite into Pigment
using a Saved Search. However, because our Balance Sheet is consolidated between
entities that use different currencies, the Saved Search transaction amounts do
not match the reported amounts in NetSuite by period. This seems to be a
difference in currency exchange rate methodologies between the way the Saved
Search pulls FX (by transaction) and the way the Balance Sheet report pulls FX
(by reporting period). Has anyone been able to solve this and pull in historical
Balance Sheets month over month to match the reporting?

CHART LEGEND NOT DISPLAYING BOTTOM CENTER

I am unable to properly display the metric in a chart legend below the line
chart. The first screenshot has the legend in the bottom right and everything is
fine. But when I moved it to the bottom center, the second value is not
displayed. This chart is in a second view with one of the metrics hidden so
perhaps that is causing the issue. But clearly the data is being displayed as
needed but without the proper legend text. Any help to fix this would be much
appreciated.

CREATE A DEPENDENT DROPDOWN ON A TABLE

When working with Table Views, you can create dependent dropdown menus to filter
the available items in dropdown menus for Metrics. These can be filtered based
on the cell coordinates, selected items in other Dimension Metrics within the
same Table, or a combination of both. This filtering is configured at the Table
level through rules that map Dimensions of the configuration Metric to
Dimensions of the Metrics in the Table. Before you begin Create a Dependent
Dropdown on a Table Create a New Configuration Metric Editing Dropdown

Let’s say you have two Metrics, one for Employees and one for Employee
Departments, and these are both segmented by Month. Dependent dropdowns allow
you to filter the available departments based on where the employee was located
that month using a transaction list. This type of filtering is common in
situations where the inputs are driven by time Dimensions, which are possible in

BALANCE SHEET

Hi, I am trying to build a balance sheet in Pigment. My saved search in Netsuite
lists all transactions but, to show the balance, I need to sum all of the
transactions from all previous months. How do I do this in Pigment?
Alternatively, given I don’t actually need balances broken down by transaction
in Pigment, would I be better off to try and find a way of extracting balances
from Netsuite so that I can use those? (though I am not sure how I do that so
any idea on that gratefully received too)

BREAKDOWN BY SAME DIMENSION

I was able to Breakdown by Department>Internal Group property for one metric in
a table but I’m not able to Breakdown by Department again for another metric I’m
able to breakdown by department in either of those metrics but not both. I’m
using breakdown option at various places in this table which allows the same
dimension to be broken down among different metrics multiple times but not this
one specifically. What could be the reason for this?

SCENARIOS IN SECURITY METRICS?

I have an app with scenarios. Scenarios are enabled: But when I create a metric
in security folder, there are no scenarios and values are propagated to all
scenarios. But I want to lock/unlock write rights for specific scenarios, so I
need scenarios on the security folder too. If I move the metric outside the
security folder, the scenarios appear, but then this metric cannot be used in
the access rights rules (which is not intuitive). Any tips, thoughts?

BUILDING A BALANCE SHEET IN PIGMENT

I am trying to build a balance sheet but I did not find any article about it. So
i create a saved search in netsuite that is linked to metric in Pigment by using
a transaction list.I’m trying to display data for multiple periods ( ex: dec 21,
dec22...) in the same metric but looks like i have to create different
transaction lists for different periods and then create a table to aggregate all
the periods. Happy to have your insight on the most efficient way to build a
balance sheet, thanks
