SOFIA RICHIE WORE 3 EXQUISITE CUSTOM CHANEL LOOKS FOR HER WEDDING FESTIVITIES

Sofia Riche’s European wedding to music executive Elliot Grainge was nothing
short of glamorous. On April 22, the two tied the knot at the Hotel du
Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes in the South of France with family — hi, Lionel and
Nicole Richie — and close friends, including Cameron Diaz and Paris Hilton, in
attendance. As you can imagine, Richie’s wedding dress and weekend looks were
all next-level luxe.



According to Vogue, a few weeks before her nuptials, Richie paid a visit to
Chanel Haute Couture salons in Paris for her last fitting, with her
mother-in-law Lady Caroline Grainge and her best friend Ali Meller in tow. “I
always had this vision of the big princess dress, and going big, but as I got
older, I realized that I wanted something a bit more simple,” Richie told Vogue.
“Maybe simple isn’t the right word because my dress definitely is not simple!”
Indeed, Richie’s custom gown wasn’t understated in any way. The Beauty Director
of Nudestix opted for a dreamy Chanel number, which boasted iridescent white
sequins and a criss-cross neckline, inspired by the French fashion house’s
Fall/Winter 2023 collection. Moreover, Richie added sentimental details inside
the dress: the couple’s first initials “S&E” and their wedding date were sewn
into the fabric of her look.

In addition to her actual wedding dress, Richie wore two other Chanel outfits
for the weekend celebrations. For her rehearsal dinner, the celeb chose a
long-sleeve beaded number. “I’m scared to move because I don’t want to ruin one
bead,” Richie told the publication prior to her wedding day. And last but
certainly not least, she changed into a mini dress for the after-party. The
elegant number included the Chanel camellia, an iconic 3D floral detail.

Prior to the big day, Richie created her first TikTok video, captioned France
GRWM, requesting viewers’ inputs in picking out her pre-wedding outfit for
dinner. As she combed through the rack of clothing, she pulled out a halter-neck
crochet Proenza Schouler dress and baby blue Khaite gown. That night she chose
the Proenza look, but spoiler alert: she ended up wearing the other pastel
number down the line, too. Next, the star accessorized the dress with gold
statement earrings from House Of Harlow 1960 and a raspberry pink mini bag.

The Proenza and Khaite dresses were just several elegant pieces in Richie’s
pre-wedding weekend wardrobe. She also wore a breezy matching set from Posse,
courtesy of her go-to stylist Liat Baruch. And on the accessories front, Richie
carried several different Chanel bags because what else for a destination bride?

All of Richie’s bridal looks tapped into the viral quiet luxury aesthetic, which
is essentially when you wear classic, understated silhouettes that exude
sophistication — hence, “quiet.” As you take a closer look at all her
seaside-inspired outfits, you might get some styling inspiration too. For this
season’s brides-to-be, especially, any of these dresses and sets would work for
a rehearsal dinner or welcome party. In other words? Richie is an up-and-coming
fashion girl to watch.
