To provide an educational environment that fosters strong academic,
co-curricular, and interpersonal skills, allowing every child, every day to grow
and thrive as an engaged, responsible citizen in a diverse society.

Learn More About MGSD:

 * Serving 6,150 students in grades pre-K through 12.
 * Top 10 school district in North Carolina in academic achievement.
 * All students in grades 4 - 12 receive a MacBook Air for use at school and
   home, grades 2 - 3 receive a MacBook Air for use at school, and grades K - 1

February is “Love the Bus" month!

Our school bus drivers are often the first person to greet your child in the
morning and the last one to make sure they arrive home safely. They are vital to
our children and community! The American School Bus Council’s National “Love the
Bus” campaign highlights the importance of the yellow school bus and its drivers
who safely transport more than 25 million children to school and home again
every day.

Our schools and district will be showing appreciation for our Student Delivery
Specialists all month, but we feel certain they would love to hear from the
students they take care of each day. Feel free to use the printables included in
