U.S. DISTRIBUTOR NEWSLETTER

LETTER FROM CHRIS SCHENKENBERGER

Dear distributors,

I am honored to have recently joined the Petro-Canada Lubricants team as the new
Director of Sales. My first days with this spectacular and dedicated group of
individuals has shown me that I have a lot to look forward to — working
alongside top-tier talent to serve you, our loyal distributors, with the
high-quality products and support our brand delivers.

I’ve spent over 25 years in sales and management, with diversified experience at
a specialty chemicals company supporting the transportation, industrial and
aftermarket lubricant industry — where I gained valuable knowledge in additive
development, lubricant testing and sales.

I can’t think of a more exciting industry to work in. The lubricants we deliver
keep transportation and machinery operating, which keeps daily life around the
world moving. I have a deep understanding of the challenges you face, and I look
forward to collaborating with you to create solutions that will increase
efficiency and extend equipment life for your customers.

Thank you for your business, and I look forward to meeting you soon.

Chris Schenkenberger
Sales Director, U.S. and Latin America

PEERLESS™ OG2 RED GREASE – FOR FLEET

For years, traditional lithium-based greases have dominated fleet applications.
With the increasing cost of lithium, it’s time for a new grease to pick up the
pace. PEERLESS™ OG2 Red, a calcium sulfonate carbonate complex grease that
carries the NLGI HPM certification, could be the ticket for your customer’s
over-the-road or vocational fleet. PEERLESS OG2 Red uses a functional thickener,
which helps protect equipment from wear and enhances extreme pressure
performance. Customers can also rely on great copper corrosion protection and
the potential for extended relubrication intervals.

Speak to your Sales Manager or Technical Services Advisor today to discuss your
customer’s specific requirements. You can also check out our one-pager for more
information.

TECH TIP
THE IMPORTANCE OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY

The pace of modern innovation and technology underscores the importance of
reliable and affordable energy. While this is evident in sectors like
transportation and power generation, it’s equally crucial to recognize the less
obvious areas where energy consumption occurs — such as manufacturing,
agriculture and the digital space, to name a few.

This year, global energy consumption is projected to exceed 580 million
terajoules. Remarkably, approximately 15-20% of this energy is lost due to
friction. As our global energy demands continue to surge — reaching an estimated
900 million terajoules by 2050 — the world faces a dual challenge: advancing
energy production while maximizing the efficiency of the energy we generate.

Enter effective lubrication — a pivotal player in the pursuit of energy
efficiency. Help your customers to understand the importance of selecting the
correct lubricant for their applications with the following insights:

 1. Friction Reduction:
    * Lubricants act as guardians between moving surfaces, minimizing friction
and wear. In any mechanical system, friction converts input energy into
heat, dissipating it wastefully into the surrounding environment.
    * Key consideration: Viscosity. Optimal viscosity strikes a balance — too
low increases surface contact and friction, while too high generates
internal fluid friction. Lubricants with a higher viscosity index enhance
      overall efficiency.
 2. Choosing the Right Lubricant:
    * Beyond viscosity, the right type of lubricant, fortified with appropriate
additives, combats friction culprits like carbon deposits, sludge and
varnish. By minimizing friction losses, the right lubricants significantly
      boost energy efficiency.
 3. Avoiding Lubrication Extremes:
    * Under-Lubrication: Inadequate lubrication leads to wear, premature
component failure, increased energy consumption and higher operating
      costs.
    * Over-Lubrication: Excessive lubrication squanders both lubricant and
energy, generating unnecessary heat, stressing lubrication points, and
      prolonging downtime.
 4. Environmental Responsibility:
    * Proper lubrication management transcends machinery — it impacts the
environment. Misapplied lubrication can result in substantial resource and
      energy waste.

DSR INCENTIVE WINNERS

NORTHWEST DISTRICT

Tom Taft of Tyree Oil. Tom has been a Petro-Canada Lubricants champion for many
years. He helped bridge the gap to win key customers for us in the Portland,
Oregon area. His latest win happened with a key city account we have serviced
for over a decade. They were under pressure to switch brands due to market
shifts. Tom was calm, professional and did an excellent job involving sales and
tech services. Together, we gave a coordinated offer to commit them to using
Petro-Canada Lubricants for another year. He was instrumental in keeping the
account because of the great relationship he built over the years. It’s a great
win and we look forward to more!

PLAINS DISTRICT

Todd Bell of Sapp Bros. Todd has a customer who wants to double their drain
interval. Knowing what Petro-Canada Lubricants DURONTM; UHP HDEOs are capable of
— combined with oil analysis — we feel very confident that they can extend drain
intervals. Helping his customer double their drain intervals will strengthen
their partnership and keep the customer with Sapp Bros. and Petro-Canada
Lubricants. Thank you for all your work, Todd!

SOUTH DISTRICT

Jase Traylor of Kimbro Oil Company. Jase recently closed a fleet prospect that
he has targeted for several years. Congratulations, Jase! Your hard work,
dedication and exceptional skills truly set you apart. Keep up the fantastic
work. Thank you for all that you do to grow the Petro-Canada Lubricants brand.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN DISTRICT

Sean Butcher of West Direct Oil. Sean closed a couple of good accounts this
month and has others in the pipeline. Sean is a seasoned veteran and embraces
the Petro-Canada Lubricants line. Thanks, Sean!

SOUTH CENTRAL DISTRICT

Mary Pearce of Offen Petroleum. Mary has landed several solid accounts for
Petro-Canada Lubricant products. Mary is a consummate professional who pursues
target accounts with a thorough examination of what is best for the customer and
their equipment. She utilizes DURON Challenges with expertise. Mary has many
target accounts in the pipeline for Petro-Canada Lubricants. Tech Sales Advisor
Garrett Bapp and I enjoy working with Mary Pearce immensely.

NORTHEAST DISTRICT

Jon Hinton from Deckman Oil. Jon was calling on a Luxury Motor Coach company but
the only product that they were interested in was our DuraDriveTM HD Synthetic
668 fluid. Jon tried to sell them on the benefits of synthetics in their fleet,
but the customer was focused on a cheap motor oil, thinking “oil is oil.” Jon
continued pitching the quality of Petro-Canada Lubricants over the “price
fighter” brand that only addressed a cost per gallon without ever discussing
higher-performance products. Eventually, with Jon showing the benefits that the
motor coach company understood from the extreme performance of the DuraDrive HD
Synthetic 668, the service manager for the fleet was more willing to explore the
extended drains and better fuel economy of the SHP 10W-30. They are now on the
synthetic blend product for their newer vehicles and HP 15W-40 on their older
ones, with the distributor focusing on the “price fighter” oil out! Thanks to
Jon continuing with his quality message about the performance and capability of
synthetics and blends over “cheap,” he scored 4,000 gallons for Deckman Oil and
Petro-Canada Lubricants!

MID-ATLANTIC DISTRICT

Ryan Mason of Foster Fuels. Ryan has worked closely with a local Virginia-based
truck dealership, showing the advantages of Petro-Canada Lubricants’
wide-temperature range multi-viscosity HYDREXTM MV 22 Hydraulic Oil for
year-round outdoor use in service vehicles, bucket trucks and hydraulic lift
gates. Ryan continues to show his expertise in marketing and selling
high-performance Petro-Canada Lubricants to take on the competition. We would
like to thank Foster Fuels for their continued efforts in marketing the
Petro-Canada Lubricants product line.

MIDWEST DISTRICT

John Warner of Leahy-Wolf. Congratulations to John for converting multiple
accounts to Petro-Canada Lubricants over the past couple of months. Your
expertise in the Rail and Fleet segments continues to show and we are glad to
have you as a part of the Petro-Canada Lubricants team!

FLORIDA DISTRICT

Ryan Baker from HR Lewis Petroleum. Ryan continues to grow his pipeline and his
goal is to leave no rock unturned. His consistent effort will lead to continued
success. Keep up the good work, Ryan.

SOUTHEAST DISTRICT

James Harrison of Campbell Oil Company. James continues to grow the Petro-Canada
Lubricants brand by adding new customers each month. His focus is to educate and
prove to his customers that using Petro-Canada Lubricants is in their best
interest and his success rate shows this determination is paying off. His
dedication and enthusiasm are greatly appreciated. Thank you, James, for all you
do! Congratulations!
