TESTIMONIALS

SHRI HARDEEP SINGH PURI

Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas

I enjoyed the chapters on India’s international engagement during the pandemic,
the changing dynamics in geoeconomics, and the impact on global supply chains.

India Beyond the Pandemic can be a useful guide for those who seek to understand
how the pandemic has transformed our world and the road ahead for India and the
global community. At the same time, it is an incipient contribution to the body
of literature that is documenting India’s ascendancy in the global hierarchy. I
commend Dr Chalil, Ambassador Kapur, and Professor Nalapat for their work in
compiling this book.

India Beyond the Pandemic is a must-read for anyone interested in understanding
how the Covid-19 pandemic has both challenged and changed the Indian healthcare
system, and the valuable lessons learnt as we moved forward into a post-pandemic
era. The book, in a very readable manner, discusses the challenges faced by
different countries, including India, during those trying times. It sheds light
on the inconsistent global responses and the concerning lack of transparency
that one saw across various facets, , including data dissemination and basic
information sharing. This led to an infodemic on social media platforms, posing
unforeseen challenges during the crisis.

PROF. DR. RUBY PAWANKAR, MD, PH.D., FRCP, FAAAAI

Executive Director and Immediate Past President, Asia Pacific Association of
Allergy Asthma and Clinical Immunology ( APAAACI) Co-Chair, G20-T20 India TF3,

Organization ( WAO): 2012-2014

“India Beyond the Pandemic: A Sustainable Path Towards Global Quality
Healthcare,” stands as a valuable text in understanding the intricate dynamics
of global health through the lens of India’s robust response to the COVID-19
crisis. This book delves into India’s commendable vaccination drive and
humanitarian vaccine diplomacy, highlighting the nation’s vital role on the
world’s stage during unprecedented times.

A commendable contribution to the literature, this book is a must-read for all
dedicated to shaping a sustainable healthcare landscape and for health equity in
these ever changing environmental and geopolitical scenarios.
