Can I rent a limo without a driver?

It is possible to rent an LA limousine without a driver but not from a limousine
company but from an automotive prop rental company such as Cinema Vehicles or
the like.

Los Angeles limousine companies cannot rent limos without drivers due to the
restrictions in our commercial out insurance policies. The policies must have a
list of drivers that are drug tested and part of the DMV pull notice program.

Of course we recommend renting a limo with a driver so you can enjoy the
experience and not have to worry about navigation with a long vehicle in traffic
in LA.

Do I have to wear a seatbelt in a chauffeured vehicle ?

In California, the law requires all passengers, including those in limousines,
SUVs, Party Buses and taxis, to wear seatbelts. Seatbelt use is mandatory for
all occupants of motor vehicles, regardless of the type of vehicle or seating
position. This applies to both front and back seats, and failure to wear a
seatbelt can result in fines and penalties. It is essential to prioritize safety
by buckling up whenever you are traveling in an LA Limo

Do Los Angeles limo companies off one way trips?

In LA, limo companies only offer 1 way trips in sedans and SUVs. Larger vehicles
such as stretch limousines, sprinter vans, mini coaches, charter buses and party
buses are only available on an hourly basis usually with a 4 or 5 hour minimum.

At Hollywood Town Car, we do offer special transfer rates for trips beginning or
ending at an airport. Please call 818-918-3800 for more information.

How many people fit in a limo?

Almost all stretch limousines in Los Angeles are classified as 8 passenger
limos. Some companies try to offer an 8 passenger limo for 9 or 10 people and
it’s super crowded. There are some lager stretch limos available as well. At
Hollywood Town Car, we have 11 passengers stretch limousines which are great for
10 people.

Sprinter Limousines are usually built to fit between 12 and 15 passengers and
are considered superior to stretch limousines in almost every way.

Party buses come in much larger sizes and can hold as many as 30 passengers or
more.

What do your chauffeurs wear?

At Hollywood Town Car and Limousine, all of our drivers wear black suits with
ties. If you would like your driver to wear something less formal, please let us
know and we would be happy to accommodate your request.

Can a sprinter pick me up at LAX?

Yes. Sprinters are great for LAX pickups. Unfortunately, the sprinter driver
cannot meet you at the baggage claim at LAX as there is no parking for sprinters
at LAX. If you need a meet and greet or even a planeside pick up (domestic
flights only), Hollywood Town Car can offer a greeter service for an additional
cost.

Where will my driver pick me up at LAX?

We offer several options for LAX pickups.

 1. Curbside Pickup – This is the easiest and quickest for everyone involved.
    Simply turn on your mobile device when your plane lands. Your driver will be
    waiting in the limo waiting lot a few blocks from LAX and when you are
    ready, the driver will drive around the loop, collect you and take you to
    your final location.
 2. Driver meet and greet (only available for sedans and SUVs). The driver will
    park the car in the airport lot that is closest to your arrival terminal and
    meet you when you come down the escalator with a sign with your name on it.
    At this point, you will have to walk to the parking lot to enter the car and
    this takes a little longer than a curbside pickup.
 3. Greeter Service. If you are flying into LAX on a domestic flight, we can
    offer a greeter to meet you at the jetway when you exit the plane. If you
    would like to book this service, in addition to the flight information we
    will need the record locator number (RLN) associated with your airline
    ticket.

Can a limo pick me up curbside at LAX

Yes. Only Uber, Lyft and other shared rides must pick up passengers at the
LAX-it lot. 

Any private vehicle or chartered vehicle can pick you up curbside at the
terminal at LAX. This includes Uber black.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Our booking system, drivers and dispatchers track your flight independently.
This allows us to be prepared whether your flight is early, late or on time.

Can I drink alcohol in the limo?

In California, it is legal for anyone that is not in the front portion of the
car to have an open container in the rear of a legally licensed commercial
vehicle such as a taxi or any TCP-licensed vehicle. So yes, you can get your
drink on, provided it is safe and of course fun. Again, if any passengers in an
LA Limousine are under 21, all alcoholic beverages are prohibited by California
law.

Can I smoke in the vehicle?

We do have a few vehicles that allow smoking as well as drivers in those cars
that are ok with smoking.

Can I bring my own alcoholic beverages?

We encourage you to bring your own liquor, beer, wine, champagne, or anything
else you want to drink in moderation. We can provide these things for you at an
additional cost of the beverages and the time it takes to procure them.

What other amenities are included in a limo or party bus?

All our limousines come stocked with the following:

 * Ice
 * Canned Sodas
 * Bottled Water
 * Mixers such as juices and the like
 * One Carafe of Liquor

FYI. If you would like to add anything special, please call us at (818) 918-3800
and we would be happy to get anything you want such as specialty beverages or
food trays. Unfortunately, all alcoholic beverages must be removed by law if
there are any passengers under 21 years of age.

Do I need a Car Seat in a Limo in Los Angeles?

In a Los Angeles limousine, anyone in the back seat of a limousine must obey
California law. If there are ONLY side-facing seats, then car seats are not
required since they can’t install safely and that’s the exception. We always
recommend car seats for infants and toddlers for their safety. We can provide
car seats for a nominal charge. Just let us know well in advance of your trip.

Los Angeles Limo Safety – How do I know my limo is safe?

We have all seen some tragedies in the news in the past few years. Although
California Laws covering all forms of ground transportation are some of the
toughest in the country, we don’t feel there is enough. Your safety and the
safety of your guests is our primary concern and we always do more than the law
requires to ensure that everyone makes it home having had a great time. In
addition to $1.5 million in insurance, here are just a few of the safety
standards we use:

 * Regular (and random) driver drug-testing by a California-licensed testing
   facility
 * Class B drivers license for all vehicles above 10 passengers.
 * Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections
 * Emergency roof exit hatches in all party buses, sprinters and stretch SUVs

What types of Limos are Available Today in Los Angeles?

THERE ARE REALLY FOUR TYPES OF LIMOUSINES OFFERED TODAY:


TRADITIONAL STRETCH LIMOUSINE

The standard limousine, which holds from 6-12 passengers, are usually made from
a Chrysler 300, Cadillac XTS, Lincoln Continental or even a Lincoln MKT.
Limousines are manufactured by third party coach builders. Limousines are a
staple at the Oscars though not in as high demand as they used to be years ago.

 * High End Audio System
 * Flat Panel LCD Screens
 * Fiber Optic Lighting


SUPER STRETCH SUV

These are also made by coach builders in just about the same way a sedan would
be “stretched”. They are made from all types of SUVs such as:

 * Mercedes G Wagon
 * Hummer H2
 * Cadillac Escalade
 * Ford Excursion
 * Chevrolet Suburban

They are often painted or wrapped in bright colors but are most often found in
white since they are most often used for weddings.

A LIMO BUS OR PARTY BUS

A limo bus or party bus can be made from either a Coach Bus or a Passenger Bus.
These vehicles are taken to a coach works and the interiors are converted into a
moving night club for you and your guests. These vehicles can seat as many as 40
passengers safely and comfortably.

Los Angeles pricing:

A Party Bus starts at $150.00 per hour for smaller vehicles and as much as
$250.00 per hour for the largest vehicles. All party and limo buses in Los
Angeles have a 5-hour service minimum. We have never heard of anyone offering
point to point transfers in LA as the vehicle preparation time is extensive.


MERCEDES SPRINTER LIMO

The sprinter has become the industry standard for limousines in the past several
years for several reasons. The most important to your comfort being that all the
passengers can stand in the Sprinter. Sprinter coaches that have been to a
coachworks to become retrofitted to be a limousine usually have 7-foot to 8-foot
ceilings. This ends the need to slide in and out which separates them from
traditional stretch limousines and super-stretch SUVs where guests still need to
slide in and out. This feature is especially important for anybody wearing a
dress. Sprinter Limos seat from 8 to 12 passengers.

Do I need a credit card to book a limo or car?

Normally, Yes.

Even if you want to pay cash for your reservation, we will need a valid credit
or debit card to confirm a reservation. 

If you want to pay in advance, we can accept advanced payments via Zelle, PayPal
or Venmo. Please call our office at 818-918-3800 if you would like to use one of
those methods.

Can I book a limo with a debit card?

Yes. Our processor treats debit cards and credit cards exactly the same so debit
cards are totally acceptable for your reservation.

When do I pay for my reservation?

All vehicles over 6 passengers require a 50% deposit at the time of booking to
reserve the vehicle.

All other LA Limousine trips are charged at the completion of the trip.

Can I rent a limo for a movie, tv, or video shoot?

Although we are happy to provide vehicles for transporting cast and crew, we do
