A message from Mayor Phil Dague.I just spoke with Chief Holland, and obviously
the situation is grim. The police station and public works offices are out of
service. The Log House took considerable water.The Borough has suffered
significant property loss, and certainly private property losses as well. There

At 2:15 AM the Downingtown Fire Dept. volunteers returned to station after very
many water rescues and fires during the remnants of Hurricane Ida. Our first
water rescue call came in at approximately 4:45 PM and the DFD with our mutual
aid partners worked nonstop with many water rescues.

Later on Thursday we hope to complete our report numbers of calls.
