Play the short films on their own in tutor time, and focus on the big questions
on the cover page of the teacher notes, or use as part of the planned curriculum
for PSHE.

 


LESSON DESCRIPTION

Developed in partnership with INEOS – as a part of  the ‘Go Humans Academy’ – we
have created three short films that see the New Zealand Black Ferns rugby team
share personal stories and professional achievements. Dr Michaela
Litchmore-Dunbar, renowned clinical psychologist, helps students strengthen
their sense of self through acceptance and self-validation.

Aimed at all pupils aged between 11 and 16, join Dr Michaela and the New Zealand
Black Ferns to:

 * Strengthen a sense of self through acceptance and self-validation.
 * Develop and understanding of, and build resilience.
 * Develop strategies to confront and overcome anxieties.


HOW TO USE OUR IDENTITY RESOURCES:

Each short film comes with suggested discussion points and activities to use as
a springboard into deeper discussion. Play the videos on their own in tutor
time, and focus on the big questions on the cover page of the teacher notes, or
use all four videos and accompanying lesson plans as part of the planned
curriculum for PSHE.
