Broadcom completed its acquisition of VMware on November 22, and on December 7
announced its intent to divest the End-User Computing Division. We view this as
a powerful benefit for our customers and an opportunity for our partners. We’re
excited to share why.

 * The EUC Division is financially strong with healthy growth and profitability.
    
 * We have an innovation engine that continuously delivers market-leading
   solutions — Workspace ONE and Horizon.
 * Our newly expanded EUC Division covers all critical business functions from
   IT to Customer Support.
 * The EUC business is led by an experienced team with deep domain expertise.

As we prepare for this next phase, we’ll bolster our investment in R&D,
delivering mission-critical solutions and supporting our customers.


WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR OUR CUSTOMERS?

We believe this divestiture will best position us to optimize our business and
better support our customers in delivering best-in-class, secure experiences to
their employees. Key focus areas will include:

 * EUC Customer-focused account coverage and ownership .
 * Increased investment in R&D and Go-to-Market aligned to our business strategy
   .
 * All functions aligned to maximize customer value, with special emphasis on
   customer support.


WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR OUR PARTNERS?

We are optimizing our Partner Programs for the EUC business. Focus areas will
include:

 * EUC Partner programs optimized for scale, growth and profitability .
 * Dedicated EUC Partner Global and Geo-based resources, including sales and
   technical teams .
 * Evolution of EUC Professional Services to accelerate and build EUC
   Partner-led services capabilities.


PRODUCT STRATEGY

We remain committed to our product strategy, including our Anywhere Workspace
Platform and the Autonomous Workspace vision powered by data and intelligence,
which we announced last year at VMware Explore Las Vegas.

We are invigorated by the opportunity ahead for our employees, our customers,
and our partners. We are building a scalable business for the future in service
to delivering the best technology and experience to our customers. We’ll share
updates as we have them.
