Pavlov VRML Season 12 and PSVR x PCVR Crossplay!

The Pavlov VRML Moderation Team is thrilled to announce that Season 12 will
feature PSVR2 and PC crossplay!



PSVR2 players, you can now register on our website as part of the PC community
and are invited to join existing teams or create new ones.

For 11 seasons, we have been a PCVR community, with the game remaining largely
unchanged. As we step into Season 12, we’re thrilled to introduce crossplay with
PSVR2. The involvement of the PlayStation community brings fresh challenges and
new life to the game we’re all passionate about. 

There will be changes to the league structure to make crossplay possible, a
pre-season will take place to trial these changes:
- For PC-only matches, teams have the option to choose maps from the crossplay
map pool or a custom map pool.
- In PSVR/PC mixed matchups, games will be played on crossplay-compatible maps.

The pre-season starts on July 17th, 2023 and will run for 3 weeks, this allows
players to get used to the new main branch build and raise any concerns they may
have. The regular season will follow, beginning on August 7th, 2023, and lasting
14 weeks.

During the pre-season, all developer-created maps are available for play.
Captains will be asked to provide feedback on which custom maps will be featured
in our pre-season. Please keep an eye on this pool as it evolves, and take the
opportunity to submit your top picks for up to 5 custom maps and 4 developer
maps. These picks will be used as the official map pool for season 12. The
moderation team will use your feedback to evaluate and implement changes to
enhance the competitive aspects of the map pool as Vankrupt releases additional
content and new maps. Changes to the size of the map pools and the structure for
matches may be adjusted in response to community feedback.
- Pre-season Week 1 Deadline: in 13 days
- Pre-season Start: in 14 days 
- Season 12 Start: in a month

Mark your calendars - make sure your team is active by July 16th, 2023, to be
eligible for matches in the first week of pre-season.

survey and information about a town hall Q&A opportunity where you’ll have the
chance to give feedback on rule changes and the map pool.

VRML CON 2023 is Happening!

event! This LAN will be held in Denver, Colorado at the McNichols Civic Center. 
 
In partnership with Resolution Games and Ready At Dawn, Blaston, Ultimechs, and
Echo Arena will be the line-up of featured games at VRML Con 2023! More
information will become available in the coming weeks.

Hotel Rooms 
We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Holiday Inn Express:
Denver Downtown to offer the community a discounted rate on hotel rooms for VRML
Con. The room rates are $139 USD/night and are limited. If you want a chance at
the discounted rate then buy quickly! Note - Users must have a ticket to VRML
Con in order to purchase a hotel room at the discounted rate. Users who have
purchased a ticket will be getting information about how to purchase a hotel
room at the discounted rate via an email from us.
 
We sent out hotel information to ticket holders last Saturday, so if you
purchased a ticket to VRML Con please make sure to check your email! We will be
sending out emails in waves, probably once a week.
 
 
Headset Information
VRML Con will be a bring-your-own-headset event. Check with the game you are
competing in to see which models are green lighted. PCVR is not allowed.

At VRML Con we will have sponsor and demo booths! If you and your organization
or company are interested in having a booth, please create a ticket in
the Support Server and let us know! A list of confirmed booths will be made
public as details unfold.
 



 

Echo Arena Sunset Cup

Sunset Cup will be hosted at VRML Con as a "last goodbye" to the game we all
love. This tournament will be open to all players who have bought a ticket to
VRML Con. We will have an open qualifier hosted online to get down to the
remaining 6-8 teams. This qualifier will be hosted May 1-7th. The remaining
rounds will be played live on stage in Denver, Colorado June 4th. The live
tournament will be Meta Quest 1, 2, or Pro only. PCVR will not be supported.
More information about this tournament coming next week! 

Contrary to what was previously posted, Season 7 Grand Finals will not be hosted
live at VRML Con. Due to the announcement of Echo VR being shut down, we are
switching to a community based event, rather than hosting the Grand Finals live.
This means all rounds of finals will be played online, like previous seasons. We
will not be flying out Echo Arena players for VRML Con. 

 

Blaston Semi-Finals and Grand Finals

At the end of Season 2, we will be hosting the Semi-Finals and Grand Finals live
in Denver, Colorado at VRML Con! VRML has partnered with Resolution Games to
host Blaston at the event. We will be flying out and housing the top 2 players
in NA and top 2 players in EU!

Meta Quest 2, Pico 4, or Pico Neo 3 Link headsets will be allowed at the event.
PCVR is not allowed. 

 

Ultimechs Grand Finals

At the end of Season 1 we will be hosting the Grand Finals live in Denver,
Colorado at VRML Con! VRML has partnered with Resolution Games to host Ultimechs
at the event. We will be flying out and housing the top team in NA and top team
in EU. Only 2 players from each team will be flown out to play live. 

Meta Quest 2, Pico 4, or Pico Neo 3 Link headsets will be allowed at the event.
PCVR is not allowed.

Echo Arena EU & OCE
When that original announcement was made, there was some disappointment that the
Echo Arena activities were going to be NA only. We appreciate communities from
OCE and EU for coming together and showing their enthusiasm for the event! And
as such, we have started to explore "Pay Your Way" options for EU and OCE. The
exact details are still being fleshed out, but we are committed to providing
those details prior to the start of Season 7.

Blaston and Ultimechs
In 2022 Resolution Games started their esports journey with Blaston, where they
partnered up with VR Master League. Bringing you Blaston VRML Season 1.
Following that, we started the VRML Pre-Season for Ultimechs which had it's
finals in January, so I hope you tuned in for that. But their journey doesn't
end there because in 2023 they'll be continuing esports initiatives for both
Blaston & Ultimechs, Resolution Games will be seeing new seasons, new
tournaments and new competitions. Now when both of the games are free-to-play,
there's no excuse for you to not join in on the action. Who knows, maybe you'll
need those skills coming June 2023 as we'll be joining the VRML CON in Denver,
Colorado.
 
The upcoming Season of Blaston will conclude with not 2, but 4 players getting
flown out to VRML CON where they will play on a stage, live in front of an

weekends!

Pavlov VRML Season 10 Championship starts October 15th with qualifiers for EU
and NA.

Onward VRML top 4 teams from OCE/Asia region and top 8 from each EU and NA
regions will battle to ascend to the Season 13 World Finals, also on October

Last but not least, Echo Arena VRML Season 6 Championship events will be
starting November 5th for OCE/Asia, EU, and NA.

circuit for Blaston! Join today and compete for over $10,000 in the biggest VR
esports competition of 2022! VRML is happy to participate and help organize this
tournament!

Players in North America and Europe could participate in a series of
tournaments, challenges, and events to gather points in Phase 1 of the Blaston
Championship. Once collected, their championship points are shown on a regularly

North American, European, and APAC top teams battle for the crown and $7,500

APAC Finals - Saturday April 16th, 2000 AEST (0600 EDT)
Billabong Bogans vs Maws 'n Paws

Vying for the title of APAC Champions and $900 USD prize pool, this battle is
one in the making! In three encounters, Maws 'n Paws have overtaken the
Billabong Bogans twice. Billabongs have a great track run this season, finishing
2nd!

 

European Semi-Finals - Saturday April 16th
Crimson Claw vs Finnish Bear Influenced at 1130 EDT
Old People vs Friendly Fire at 1330 EDT

FBI snagged the final spot in the Semi-Finals with an impressive upset during
last week's closed qualifiers! They'll be going up against 1st place Crimson
Claw. Can they pull off another upset against this undefeated team? Then, Old
People and Friendly Fire will be facing off! Exchanging blows all season, this
match will be down to the wire as both teams fight for spot in the Finals! The
winning team of each match will qualify for the Grand Finals, while defeated
teams will play for 3rd place in the Bronze Medal Match.

 

North American Semi-Finals - Saturday April 16th, 1830 EDT
REKT vs Dream Team

One of the 10 biggest rivalries of all time, REKT and Dream Team are playing
again for the coveted 1st place! Vortex and MyVoltronList are also in the mix,
both looking to make it their year as Champions! Who will move on to the Finals?
Who will be eliminated? The winning team of each match will qualify for the
Grand Finals, while defeated teams will play for 3rd place in the Bronze Medal
