ABOUT

This is Liber Proeliis. With a Latin origin, the name Liber Proeliis means Book
of Fights.

We are a Lusophone crossover community, a form of entertainment often popular in
forums and geek communities on the net.

The idea of creating this wiki came up in a community called Comic Manga Battles
(abbrev: CMB) on Google+.

The main purpose was to set standards and judge, based on logic and
argumentation, pre-existing standards as valid or not.

This goal has been extended so that we are now dealing with fictional
characters, as well as works, superpowers, and scales that come from various
sources, from philosophy to mathematics.

TITLE I - FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES

Art. 1º Our goals in founding this community are to promote debates about
fictional characters, in order to reach an ideal consensus on the classification
of each according to established criteria. Art. 2º We are not the owners of the
truth. If you visit other communities with similar goals, you may notice
differences in characteristics. This does not necessarily point out that one is
wrong and the other right, only that we have a different interpretation of the
events presented. It is important to maintain pluralism of ideas at all times.
Art. 3º

We are open to suggestions. Any individual is free to suggest improvements,
changes, revisions and updates. For this, ourFórum. In the forum, the following
rules must be respected:

I – topics and discussions should not be misrepresented; II – any kind of
logical fallacy in argumentation should be avoided.; III – intellectual honesty
must be maintained; IV – Only reliable, truthful and accepted information should
be used.; V – discussions should be posted on the appropriate panels. Art. 4º
The user is free to create articles and categories, but only members of the
administration can create and edit pages of the category of important pages.

For this, the user must have knowledge about what the page covers, otherwise the
article should not be made.


TITLE II - STANDARDS OF CONDUCT

Art. 5º The Community is made up of users, who should receive respect above all,
prejudice being strictly prohibited: I – racial; II – social; III – sexual; IV –
linguistic; V – ethnic. Art. 6º Threats to users and Team members may result in
permanent ban from the user. Art. 7º Articles should use a clean language,
giving importance to: I – orthography; II – grammar; III – semantics; IV –
punctuation; V – textual interpretation. Art. 8º Formality and consistency
should be maintained in articles and should be avoided: I – Slang; II –
meaningless sentences; III – contradictions; IV – vandalism; V – visual
pollution.

It is important to note that this refers to articles, so some informalities may
still exist in other areas of the community..

Art. 9º Any subject can be addressed in the Discord, not just limited to our
goals in the articles. However, respect for the individual must be maintained.
Art. 10º It is expressly forbidden any content: I – defamatory; II –
pornographic; III – prejudiced; IV – of horror; V – illegal. Art. 11º To create
an article, you must: I – understand our standards; II – check if this page
already exists; III – add sources of content, and valid justifications for what
was stated in the article; IV – maintain impartiality. V – not refer to yourself
in the first person, be impersonal. Art. 12º To maintain stability, it is
prohibited: I – troll; II – flood; III – be a fanboy; IV – be a hater. Art. 13º
No copyrighted work should be posted without proper credit to the original work


 


 

ShowFights Constitution


INTRODUCTION

From Latin, Constitutio Bellum means Constitution of Fights, which embodies its
meaning. This page details all the battle rules, how they should be performed
and what is not allowed.


TITLE 1 - THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES

Art. 1st For a battle to be posted, the following conditions are required: I -
every battle should be posted in the Forum, in the Frame Battles, never in any
other section; II - no unfair battle, in which one of the opponents has
virtually no chance of winning, should be posted. If so, the battle will be
nullified and disregarded. However, note that for a battle to be considered
unfair, the chances of an opponent winning must be almost nil, and both factors
must be present. The following factors should be taken into account: a) an
excessively large difference in speed; b) overly superior powers and abilities
of one of the opponents; c) destructive ability and far superior resistance on
the part of one of the opponents; Art. 2nd Battles must specify: I - the scenery
(at all times); II - the extra conditions, such as some power that must be
restricted, speed equaled, among others (only if there are restrictions); III -
the shapes of each character (if there is more than one); IV - the opponents'
personality to be considered or not. Art. 3rd A battle can only be won if: I -
has at least a two-vote advantage over one of the opponents (this number will
change over time); II - the reasons for the votes are specified, and the
difficulty with which the opponent will win or lose. a) a battle can only be
declared a draw when there is no explicit form or visible advantage between
opponents. Art. 4th It is prohibited: I - the use of logical fallacies in
argumentation; II - match any feature other than speed. The only exceptions to
this rule are: a) beings with variable attributes (such as The Shrike and
Captain Marvel), yet remaining within their limits; b) duels between specific
attributes, such as “which is the best swordsman”, “which is the best driver”
and the like, where the physical characteristics that would make competition
unfair are nullified. III - take a battle as over if there are no conditions
already set for the victory or cancellation of such; IV - present false
information about the characters under discussion; Art. 5th If there is no
information or insufficient information about the battle, it should be assumed
that: I - the characters in combat are in their closest form to each other in
raw power and speed, and only if possible in exotic powers (commonly known as
hax). II - the default distance at which the battle begins is 10 meters; III -
location is a neutral scenario in which both can use all their powers, even when
they are specific to only one place or under one condition, without any
restriction, disadvantage or advantage; IV - there are no special conditions.
Art. 5th At the end of the discussion, the results should be added to the "/
Battles" subpage on the profile of both characters in combat.


TITLE 2 - SPECIFIC OCCASIONS

Art. 1st Because they are practically impossible to measure, in battles between
1A VS 1A or High 1A VS High 1A, it should be considered that combatants are
exactly the same level in Attack and Resistance. Exceptions include only beings
in the same series, where said combatants are explicitly shown to be different
in power. (For example, Reinhard Heydrich in his Atziluth would be considered an
equal to Demonbane (Zanma Taisei) with the Brilliant Trapezehedrons combined,
even though their deeds and possibly levels of power are completely different.
