TRANSFERRING FUSION 360 PROJECTS FROM AN EXPIRED ACCOUNT TO ANOTHER ACCOUNT

ISSUE:
How to transfer Fusion 360 projects from an expired account to another account.
The expired account may display "Basic Access" with no option to transfer the
data.
SOLUTION:
Expired accounts cannot transfer files on their own (unless exporting files
individually). Perform one of the following to transfer data from an expired
account's hub to another Team Hub.
INVITE THE SUBSCRIPTION ACCOUNT TO THE HUB
If the data is stored in the Team hub of the expired account, follow the steps
listed:
1. Sign in to the expired account.
2. Invite the account with the subscription to the expired account's hub.
See How to invite an account to an old expired account in Fusion 360.
3. Make sure that the role of the invited account is set to at least Team
Member.
4. Sign in to the newly invited account.
5. Transfer any necessary projects from expired account to the other hub.

Notes:
* There is no ability to transfer the files to a Single user storage Hub due to
collaboration restrictions.
* Admin rights may need to be reassigned to the Hub owner after a transfer,
see How to change or assign admin rights on projects in Fusion 360.
TEMPORARILY ASSIGN A COMMERCIAL SEAT
Follow the example solution if the data is stored in a Personal Hub / Single
user storage, or there aren't multiple commercial seats of Fusion 360:
1. User A has an expired subscription and User B is a Fusion 360 commercial
contract manager and owns a Fusion Team Hub.
2. User B invites User A to their Team Hub and makes them a Team Admin (How to
add a Team Administrator in a Fusion 360 Team Hub).
3. User B reassigns their commercial seat to User A (Assign Users to
Products).
4. User A now has a commercial subscription.
5. User A can now transfer data from their hub to User B's Fusion Team Hub
(Transferring files and projects in Fusion 360).
6. User B reassigns the commercial seat back to User B.
EXPORT A LOCAL COPY FROM THE ONLINE BROWSER
If transferring does not work, export a local copy of the data:
1. Sign into the site dashboard. If a team site exists, see: How to access your
hub's Dashboard in Fusion 360.
2. From the dashboard, hover over the design and select Export.
3. Select Fusion 360 Archive.
4. After the file is translated in the cloud, you will receive an email that
contains a download link.
5. To load the archive file, select Upload in the Fusion 360 Data Panel.
