ABOUT

Hansa Brewery

Boris Music made big news when he broke ground in April of 2013 on his
multi-million dollar construction project that would transform the corner of
Lorain and W. 28th into a shiny new brewery, restaurant, and retail shop. Music
and his specialty foods shop Hansa Import House have been fixtures in the Ohio
City neighborhood for 40 years, longer even than Great Lakes Brewing. So it was
welcome news when he announced his plans to construct a 15-barrel brewery and
restaurant while improving his long-running specialty foods shop. That shop,
long popular with Eastern European immigrants, carries a huge inventory of
imported cheeses, meats, bread, and beers. Now, Boris' dream has become a
reality. We welcome you with open arms and cold beer to Cleveland's newest,
authentic Eastern European restaurant and brewery. PROST!

MR. MEESEEKS – BLUEBERRY GOSE –4.6% ABV / 9 IBU

This bier is meant to serve the one purpose of quenching your thirst. Fulfilling
fruity taste with a lemony tartness. Hints of coriander and a touch of salt that
follows through with a fantastic blueberry taste!

FARMERS ONLY – SAISON – 5% ABV/36 IBU

Peppery, earthy, and hoppy. Local hops and grain add a grassy and rustic
spiciness for this Belgian Farmhouse Ale. Fermented with Raw Knottweed Honey.
$6- ½ liter | $9-liter | $15 growler | $10 crowler

BYE FELICIA! – NUT BROWN ALE – 5.2% ABV/21 IBU

The perfect bier to say “Bye!” to last year and “Hello!” to a fresh start!
Complex malt profile with chocolate malt, honey malt, and crystal rye. Very
sessionable and a touch on the sweet side. $6.50- ½ liter | $11-liter | $16
growler | $11 crowler

WINZIG HAUS BIER -LICHTENHAINER – 3.3% ABV/7 IBU

A revived historic brew of a Lichtenhainer. Kettle soured for a tart dryness
with a handful of smoked malt and wheat. This bier has strong flavors that pair
beautifully. $6- ½ liter | $9-liter | $15 growler | $10 crowler

FEMDOM – KÖLSCH 4.8% (ABV/33 IBU)

Light, crisp, and a touch on the hoppy side. This beer is very refreshing and a
solid go-to brew. *2018 Los Angeles International Beer Competition Bronze Medal
for Kellerbier. 2018 Ohio Craft Brewers Cup Bronze Medal for European Pale Ale.
2018 U.S. Open Bronze Medal for Kellerbier. $6-½ liter | $9-liter | $15-Growler

S.I.P.A. – GERMAN IPA – 7% ABV/88 IBU

A German interpretation of an American IPA with a caramel malt backbone. We use
five new German hop varieties that give it a melon and subtle strawberry
character. Assertive bitterness and refreshingly floral. $6-½ liter | $9-liter |
$15-Growler | $10-Crowler

BLACK FLAG – SCHWARZBIER – 4.7% ABV/23 IBU

Dark brown German lager with an undertone of caramel, toffee, and light roast
coffee. Clean and smooth in taste with some floral German hop taste. *2018 New
York International Beer Competition Double Gold Medal and U.S. Schwarzbier of
the Year. 2018 Beer Wars Bronze Medal for Schwarzbier. 2018 Ohio Craft Brewers
Cup Gold Medal for European Lager. 2017 U.S. Open Gold Medal for Schwarzbier.

J.U.G. – WEISS BIER

Hefeweizen yeast lends a hint of banana and clove with soft wheat graininess.

Extremely light, clean, & refreshing from being well-lagered. Highly crushable
at 4.2% ABV and just the right amount of German & Slovenian hops! $6- ½ liter |

HANSANTOR – DOPPLEBOCK – 8.2% ABV / 26 IBU

Deep copper color and rich malt taste. High in alcohol, with a touch of residual
sugar that lends a caramel-like sweetness. $7- ½ liter | $11-liter | $16 growler
| $12 crowler

D.I.Y – RUSSIAN IMPERIAL STOUT – 11% ABV/44IBU

Dark heavy Oak-Aged stout. Very roasty and bourbon-like alcohol. $7 Snifter ONLY
