HEY, I’M ARSEMA 👋🏾



Let me tell you a bit about me:

 * I am an experienced Tech Recruiter with 5+ years of recruiting experience
 * Gained my Certificate in Recruitment Practises (CertRP) Qualification
 * During university (2018 graduate), I got nicknamed the “placement lady”
   🙋🏾‍♀️ as I was constantly on the job boards finding & sharing
   opportunities, helping my friends format & rewrite their CVs, and even
   holding mock interviews in our halls. You could say that this is where I
   found my passion for recruitment
 * Once I finished university, I decided to leave my Chemical Engineering degree
   behind and embark on a career in recruitment
 * Having started in agency recruitment, I then went on to launch my independent
   agency supporting start-ups, scaleups, and SMEs in building their engineering
   teams and have worked with businesses of all team sizes, from <5 to >500.
 * Alongside my agency, feeling a sense of disconnect from the wider industry
   and looking to champion diversity & inclusion in this field, I co-founded and
   lead a global recruitment community of black professionals within recruitment
   & talent acquisition

As a recruiter, I spend a lot of my time reading CVs.

From reviewing, shortlisting, rejecting, and approving to giving feedback and
everything in between; I look at CVs EVERDYAY!



Did you know….. on average, a recruiter spends 7 SECONDS reading a CV…..7
SECONDS….that first impression will then decide whether your profile is
shortlisted!



In today's job market, being able to showcase your skills and experiences is
crucial to standing out. The easier recruiters like me can gain a clear insight
into your profile, the easier the decision to progress your application.
However, I have come across many CVs that left too many question marks, and had
I not reached out for further information…many talented people would not have
been on my radar. Whilst the responsibility can be on the recruiter to sometimes
go digging for further information, due to volume and other demands, it is not
always possible. So making your CV as informative and effective as can be goes a
long way in improving your response outcomes.



Now, I can not mention CV optimisation and not mention LinkedIn….THE business/
networking/job-finding platform!

In this digital age, your LinkedIn profile is a powerful extension of your
professional identity. However, simply having a profile is not enough! To

❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 1. I have purchased a package… now what? After purchasing a package, you will
    receive an email detailing what to do next. Please check your SPAM folder if
    you have not received it in your inbox. Please click the link to the form
    and upload a Microsoft Word (doc, docx) copy of your latest CV and your
    LinkedIn Profile URL. A confirmation email will be shared once your email
    has been reviewed.
 2. When can I expect to receive my feedback and/ or written CV? Once the
    confirmation email on receiving your documents is shared, please see the
    following timelines Starter Package: 3 working days Standard Package: 4
    working days Advanced Package: 5 working days (from the discovery call*)
    *Discovery call to be scheduled within 48 hours
 3. Will my CV be stored or shared with 3rd parties?  NO, your CV will not be
    stored or shared with any 3rd parties. All versions of rewritten CVs will be
    deleted once shared.
 4. Can you get me an interview at a company you work/ recruit for?  I work
    independently to review CVs and in no way will this influence your
    application with companies I work/ recruit for.
 5. I did not receive a confirmation email after submitting my documents via the
    form? Please reach out to arsema@mylinkedincv.com with the heading “Follow
    Up: Confirmation of completed form”
