The Rise of a New York Real Estate Giant<br><br>Bayrock Group, along with the
Trump Organization, opened Trump SoHo in 2008 with the Sapir Organization. The
Bayrock Group's story of success began in Kazakhstan some time ago.<br><br><a

is the founder of Bayrock Group. He was born in Soviet Kazakhstan and was
adopted by a Turkish family.<br><br>Before becoming a member of the Soviet
Ministry of Commerce and Trade, Tevfik Ariff earned an education from the Moscow
Trade and Economic Institute in International Relations.<br><br>He was in the
ministry for 17 years before the minister resigned to establish some of his own
businesses. Tevfik Arif had several businesses that included high-end real
estate development, food, and exports or imports.<br><br>Tevfik Arif's many
businesses enabled him to find a wide variety of international partners. He
became a leader in Turkey's famous all inclusive hotel concept through his
network.<br><br>He, for example, founded the Labada Hotel in Antalya before he
embarked on his next business venture across the Atlantic several years
later.<br><br>Bayrock Group grows more ambitious<br><br>Tevfik Arif moved to the
United States in 2001 to pursue business opportunities that were not available
and to be closer to his American family.<br><br>Just after moving to New York,
he founded the luxury real estate development firm Bayrock Group in New York
City.<br><br>Bayrock Group began with smallto medium-sized projects throughout
New York. For instance, the Bayrock Group redesigned Loehmann’s Seaport Plaza at
Sheepshead in Brooklyn.<br><br>Bayrock Group was off on a strong beginning. This
led to Tevfik becoming more determined. He wanted to take on bigger projects ,
and decided to alter the strategy of the company to concentrate on
this.<br><br>Bayrock Group, New York City's office moved to the Trump Tower on
Fifth Avenue in line with its new strategy.<br><br><a

The company relocated within close proximity to the Trump Organization. It was
home to the world-renowned family business.<br><br>Trump SoHo is now in

luxurious real estate projects. So, they decided to combine
forces.<br><br>Bayrock Group had already begun work on a second project in
Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood along Spring Street with the Sapir
Organization.<br><br>Tevfik Arif was aware that addition of the Trump
Organization to that project will bring an image to the building that Bayrock
Group and the Sapir Organization were lacking.<br><br>Arif created an agreement
that permitted the Trump Organization to own 18 percent of the building in
exchange for the Trump logo being used.<br><br>Bayrock Group, the Trump
Organization and the Sapir Organization all agreed to the proposed
deal.<br><br>This was the basis for the very first bricks of Trump SoHo to be
laid in 2006.<br><br><a

The building was finally ready for its official opening after having been
constructed over two years.<br><br>Trump SoHo was constructed by design
professionals<br><br>Trump SoHo had apartments, accommodation for hotel guests,
luxury restaurants/bars with a swimming pool, and banquet halls when it opened.
The windows that ran from floor to ceiling afforded guests unparalleled views of
New York City.<br><br>Handel Architects were tasked with the design. The
architecture firm was responsible for designing the National September 11th
Memorial & Museum in New York City as well as the Ritz-Carlton Hotel,
Washington, D.C.<br><br><a

Arif Bayrock</a> Bayrock Group hired Rockwell Group for interior
design.<br><br>Rockwell Group is responsible for designing, among other things,
the Climate Pledge Arena (Seattle) and the Seven Deadly Sins Playhouse located
in New York, as well as the Virgin Hotel in Las Vegas.<br><br>The company has
also international experience, including from Mexico, Spain, Indonesia and
Mexico.<br><br>Bayrock Group, Trump Organization extend their
collaboration<br><br>Following the opening of Trump SoHo, the Trump Organization
and Bayrock Group wanted to increase their collaboration.<br><br>Their dream was
to construct buildings similar to Trump SoHo in Florida and Arizona. Trump
Organization also received 18% equity in building with the same license
conditions. It will permit Trump to be named as part of the building's
name.<br><br>Despite the companies' goals they were not completed due to the
global financial crisis of 2008.<br><br><img width=\"476\"

American real estate market was especially affected by the financial crisis.
Bayrock Group, and the Trump Organization were forced to stop their
plans.<br><br>Tevfik Ariff made the choice to quit the United States to escape
the financial crisis that had reshaped the real estate market in America. He
opted to return to Europe and Central Asia.<br><br>He was transferred into the
private sector, and continued his employment.<br><br><a

Bayrock</a> This morning, Tevfik Aif has resigned from most of his Bayrock Group
responsibilities. But, he remains an expert advisor to Bayrock
Group.<br><br>Bayrock Group has not been involved with any American real-estate
projects in recent times, however it did invest in real estate assets in the
