FAQs

WHO DO WE SERVE?

McFarland Community Food Pantry serves guests  who live within the McFarland
School District on an ongoing basis. New pantry guests must provide a photo ID
and a current bill or lease reflecting your current address when completing your
registration form. This information must also be provided annually.

HOW OFTEN CAN GUESTS SHOP?

Pantry Guests are allowed to visit the food pantry as needed and can shop only
for registered household members.

WHAT IF THE PANTRY NEEDS TO UNEXPECTEDLY CLOSE?

If the Pantry needs to close due to inclement weather or unforeseen/unusual
circumstances, the Pantry phone will be updated along with a posting on the
pantry doors.  A posting will also be in the entrance of Homestead on Anthony
Street, on the Pantry’s website and Facebook pages, and the online Thistle.

What to Expect

Park along the North (pantry-side) of Anthony Street. Remain in your vehicle (or
if walking, please stop at the West/Main Street side of the building, socially
distanced).

A volunteer will approach your vehicle and hand you a grocery list for your
completion. Masks are required for when the volunteer approaches your vehicle
and/or if you are waiting outside.

A volunteer will fulfill your list as requested. Please understand that
quantities are limited and at times items will be unavailable.

A volunteer will load your groceries into your vehicle. If your vehicle is
overcrowded, the groceries will be placed on the curb for you to load once the
volunteer has moved away.

If you need alternative shopping for religious reasons or due to physical
limitations or need assistance with shopping (including home delivery), please
talk to the Pantry Manager.
