Dear Carolyn: My son and his wife have five absolutely adorable children we
really love. They live close by. My daughter-in-law is home schooling them and
does a tremendous job. This makes her really close to the kids, who adore their
mom.

I have always been a huggy-kissy person, and although they do not initiate a
hug, four out of the five seem to “tolerate” it and will reciprocate.
