THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE IN LIFE IS BEING YOURSELF IN A WORLD THAT IS TRYING TO
MAKE YOU LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.  


Seeking validation can lead to choices that aren't aligned with your true values
or desires.  Over time, this shift in decision-making can cause you to stray
away from who you truly are, without realizing it's happening.  Eventually you
are a version of yourself shaped more by external expectations than by your own
authentic identity. 

Do you feel like you're constantly living up to everyone else's expectations,
yet something is missing?  You've literally checked ALL the boxes—career,
family, relationships—but deep down, you feel disconnected from the person you
truly are.  The fear of letting people down, being judged, or not fitting in has
kept you stuck in a version of yourself that doesn't feel authentic.  

Many women I know face the challenge of wearing a mask to please others. 
Whether it's at work, at home, or in social circles, the pressure to conform can
be overwhelming.  

You may find yourself doing what is expected—always showing up as the dependable
professional, the perfect mom, the supportive partner—while inside, you want
more!  This disconnect between who you "are" and who you feel you "have to be"
creates anxiety, stress, and a deep sense of unfulfillment. 

Fortunately, I found a better way, and am excited to share it with you!

I BELIEVE WE ALL DESERVE TO FEEL INCREDIBLE IN OUR OWN SKIN. 


I believe each of us deserve to feel absolutely amazing about our authentic
selves, no matter our past experiences, current challenges, or the expectations
placed upon us. 

But what is your "authentic self" really?

Your authentic self is the REAL you—the person you are when you're not trying to
impress others or fit into what people expect.  It's who you are when you're
being honest with yourself, following your gut, and living in a way that feels
true to what you care about.  It's the version of you that doesn't feel the need
to pretend or hide behind a mask.  You feel comfortable just being who you are,
flaws and all.  

It's not uncommon to struggle with letting this version out in the real world
for all to see.  Ahem, that's my cue to introduce myself! 

I'm Lisa Schilling, certified Identity-Based Coach and former Human Resources
executive for more than 3 decades.  I've always been drawn to understanding how
our emotions affect our thoughts and in turn our thoughts affect our actions
which is what led me to a long career in HR and coaching.  
   
Combining science and psychology is kinda my thing and I'd love to help you
redefine your identity so you can live the life you've always wanted!

MY HEAD, ALWAYS READY WITH A HARSH COMMENT OR A NEGATIVE THOUGHT.  SHE LOVES TO
POINT OUT EVERY POSSIBLE MISTAKE OR REASON WHY SOMETHING WON'T WORK, TRYING TO
KEEP ME SMALL AND SAFE.  

SHE'S PERSISTENT, ALWAYS SECOND-GUESSING MY WORTH, AND MAKING ME FEEL LIKE I'M
NOT ENOUGH.  BUT THERE'S THE THING—I'VE LEARNED THAT JENNIFER ISN'T THE BOSS OF
ME.  SHE'S JUST A REFLECTION OF OLD FEARS AND OUTDATED BELIEFS.  SHE WAS ON 
REPEAT IN MY HEAD 24/7 UNTIL I LEARNED HOW TO QUIET HER DOWN.  I NO LONGER
BELIEVE THESE TO BE TRUE:

      "WHAT IF THEY FIND OUT I DON'T ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT I'M DOING?"

      "I DON'T DESERVE THIS SUCCESS, I JUST GOT LUCKY." 

      "IF I MAKE A MISTAKE, EVERYONE WILL JUDGE ME." 

      "PEOPLE WILL THINK I'M A FRAUD IF I ASK FOR HELP."

      "I'M NOT AS SMART, TALENTED, OR CAPABLE AS THEY THINK."

I BELIEVED PERFECTION WOULD PROTECT ME.  


From a young age, I felt the pressure to be perfect.  Every criticism I received
from the people who were supposed to love me and keep me safe, reinforced the
belief that I wasn’t good enough.  

In order to protect myself, I decided I would just be "perfect" all the time. 
However, my need to be "perfect" came at a higher cost than I ever could have
imagined.  Not only was I continually disappointed with myself, my self-esteem
plummeted and my need for control increased. 

As I grew older, this relentless pursuit of perfection became the core of who I
was, driving me to push harder and harder, never allowing myself to make
mistakes without beating myself up.            

The constant striving for unattainable standards and moving targets led to
overwhelming stress, exhaustion, and eventually, with a whole host of chronic
health conditions.   I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, stage 4, along
with a handful of autoimmune diseases.  As I was laying in the hospital bed
following my cancer surgery, I vowed to take stock of my life and make
intentional changes to begin a life of gratitude.

It forced me to confront the reality that my drive for perfection was not only
making me unhappy but was also taking a serious toll on my health.  Until then,
I didn't fully grasp how our mental state affects our physical health.  It was
then that I realized I had been sacrificing my well-being on the altar of
perfectionism, living a life dictated by fear and the constant need to prove
myself.

I confronted the stories I had told myself about needing to be perfect to be
worthy and started rewriting them to reflect what mattered the most to me to
reflect my values and new identity.  I learned that I didn’t need to be perfect
to be enough and that my worth was never tied to how flawlessly I performed. 
Maybe my story sounds similar, or maybe your story is totally different than
mine and that's okay.  I gave up "comparisons" long ago, knowing each of us is
unique and beautiful.

My goal is to help you recognize and break free from the damaging narratives
that are keeping you trapped, so you can create balance, experience happiness
and live a life that nourishes rather than depletes you.

What Makes Me Different?

When I was feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and on the edge of burnout, I refused
to admit it. Acknowledging it felt like waving the white flag, and I thought if
I ignored it long enough, the feelings would disappear. But of course, they
didn’t.

Like it or not, we live in a world where success is too often measured by titles
and accomplishments, not by our own definitions. Real success should be
something we define for ourselves, independent of external validation—something
we control, not others.

Most of us just keep getting up every day, going through the motions, wondering
how to make it better yet too busy to carve out the time to do anything about
