Wayside Inn & Larrick's Tavern is nestled in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of
Virginia. Since 1797, Wayside Inn has offered accommodations, dining, and
entertainment to visitors. The Wayside Inn is the oldest and longest
continuously running inn of the United States.  The oldest part, the "Old
Kitchen", was built as a waystation and stagecoach stop in 1742 along with the
well (viewable in the tavern) that watered the small hamlet of Middletown.

Please note, our restaurant & tavern have limited hours at this time. We are

Our housekeeper keeps our Inn very clean. If you are staying multiple days and
need fresh towels please let the front desk know.

There are many wonderfully rustic antique shops in town & the surrounding area.
The Strasburg Emporium is 5 miles to the south.

Farmer's Market Tour 



Many Seasonal Farmer's Markets are located in the surrounding areas. Ask the
front desk for a list.

Adventure and fun await your family in the Shenandoah Valley & Blue Ridge
Mountains. There is a National Park Visitor Center located on

Main Street. 

Cedar Creek & Belle Grove National Historical Park



Tour the historic Cedar Creek Battlefield and see the reenactors at Wayside Inn
during the 3rd weekend of October.
