ABOUT THIS HELIUM DAO INITIATIVE

Hard times for crypto

Following the bankruptcy of one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges,
FTX, the price of many cryptocurrencies (including Solana) experienced a
significant drop.

Many DeFi projects (us included) are experiencing a significant outflow of user
funds, and, therefore, the trust of the crypto community.

Collective trauma

At our Discord server we've seen all of your messages about how FTX collapse
affected of you, we shared how it affected our team members, we provided our
emotional support in DM's.

This is indeed the biggest challenge the whole crypto space has ever
experienced, but it does not mean that "crypto is dead", it's quite the
opposite.

Rise from the ashes

It is even more important now to focus on DeFi then ever. We can not 100% trust
centralized systems as we did before, decentralization and self-custody is the
only way moving forward.

We at HELIUM believe that FTX situation is the best form of motivation to focus
on only one thing that matters: continue building better ecosystem around Solana
and crypto in general.

The initiative

As our DAO members have outlined in recent governance council meeting - HELIUM
has to incentivize community to move forward and help everyone as much as
possible.

We decided to take 500,000 $ worth of Оrса tokens from our treasury and share it
with everyone to ease this pain at least a little, and promote
crypto-decentralization.

Discord and through NFT airdrop to you and many other community members.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

Grace “Ori” Kwan
Co-Founder
Grace Kwan, aka “Ori,” is the designer behind HELIUM's UX. After graduating from
Stanford with a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science, Ori worked as a software
engineer at Coursera and a designer at IDEO before bringing her unique skillset
to the world of crypto. A pioneer for usability and ethics in DeFi, Ori is the
creator of the HELIUM brand.
Yutaro Mori
Co-Founder
Yutaro Mori is the architect of HELIUM's core AMM. He began building in the
crypto space in 2017 at the Ethereum Foundation, working on the Eth2 Go client
and Layer 2 solutions before pivoting to Solana. With years of experience
building at the protocol level, Yutaro specializes in creating scalable
applications that stand the test of time.
