WHAT TO EXPECT AS A BETA TESTER

HOW WILL I BE NOTIFIED IF I AM SELECTED AS A BETA TESTER?

When you fill out the beta tester survey, we’ll ask for your email address. If
you are selected as a beta tester, we’ll email you there! For those who are not
selected as a private beta tester and remain on the waitlist, you’ll be the
first people we contact once the public beta is open.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IF I’M SELECTED TO BECOME A BETA TESTER?

Participants in our private beta will be in close, regular contact with our
product and design teams. Over the course of the private beta, it’s likely that
we’ll request your feedback in a variety of ways: via surveys, interviews,
in-app feedback, etc. As for the product itself, you can expect it to be
consistently evolving and improving! Private beta testers should anticipate some
rough edges but a relatively stable experience.

IS IT FREE TO BECOME A BETA TESTER?

Yes! Eventually, the features you’ll be testing will be packaged into a paid
plan, but during the private beta they will be free to use.

IF I GET SELECTED TO BE A BETA TESTER, CAN I DECIDE TO STOP USING THE BETA
VERSION AT ANY POINT AND GO BACK TO USING TODOIST LIKE BEFORE?

Yes – while you’re testing, you can decide to switch back to the regular version
of Todoist at any point. Leaving the beta is simple and doesn’t result in any
data loss (unless you explicitly delete your data). If you decide to opt out,
we’ll provide you with instructions to make this process as smooth as possible.

IF I GET SELECTED TO BE A BETA TESTER, CAN I OPT OUT OF USER TESTING AND STILL
USE THE BETA FEATURES?

Of course. While we are looking for committed beta testers who are motivated to
share feedback and report bugs on a regular basis, there’s no obligation to
continue participating in user testing if you no longer wish to do so.

WHAT IF I WANT TO KEEP USING TODOIST AS A PERSONAL TASK MANAGER?

Fear not! We use Todoist every day to organize our personal tasks, too. The
simple yet powerful task manager you know and love isn’t going anywhere.

While we’re designing these new features to better serve the 50,000 teams that
use Todoist to organize their teamwork, many will also benefit the hundreds of
thousands of users who collaborate daily in shared personal projects.

Going forward, we’re focusing on new features that teams and personal users will
find equally useful… 📆😉
