WITHOUT THE FUSS

Interactive Brokers' execution, rates and breadth of their products are
unmatched by any other brokerage or prime brokerage service. However,
interfacing with their API through the Gateway or TWS is a pain. We remove that
pain by hosting IBKR's backend infrastructure in your own cloud (AWS) account
and enabling API connectivity with normal and easy to manage API-key based
authentication.

password. Compromised API keys can be recycled to shutdown access.

WHAT WILL THIS LOOK LIKE ONCE IT’S SETUP?

The ideal setup is to use a custom domain name- for example:
yourtradingcompany.com. If you do, you’ll have two API endpoints sub-domains

 * https://ib-paper.yourtradingcompany.com
   * Connects to your paper (sandbox) account for testing without using real
     money
 * https://ib-prod.yourtradingcompany.com
   * Connects to your live (production) account for making trades with real
     money

Authentication is simple: provide your api key to the Authorization header, like
this:

Authorization: YOUR_KEY


CAN I STILL USE INTERACTIVE BROKER’S API DOCUMENTATION?

Yes, you will still refer to the Interactive Brokers' API documentation while
building your integration. IBKR Cloud isn't wrapping the api or providing a
separate API. Our solution hosts the gateway in your cloud account and provides
a reliable connection with simpler authentication, all while securing your
Interactive Brokers credentials.


WHAT DO I NEED TO GET STARTED?

You'll need an AWS account and an Interactive Brokers account. The brokerage
account will need to be funded and approved for algorithmic trading to execute
live trades with real money.


CAN I CANCEL ANYTIME?

Yes! Your subscription is month-to-month and you not bound to any contract.

Note that API requests only work with an active API subscription.


ARE MY INTERACTIVE BROKERS CREDENTIALS USED OUTSIDE MY AWS ACCOUNT?

No. We built all our technology to stand up in your own cloud provider, not
ours. Our CloudFormation-based installation within your account will store your
username and password credentials in AWS Secrets Manager, a highly secure and
encrypted storage engine designed for storing and accessing sensitive
information in the cloud. Your public-facing API works with secure API keys
rather than username and password.

This way if your API key for whatever reason becomes compromised or exposed to
unauthorized parties, they will not be able to login to your client portal or
Trader Workstation. To resolve the issue simply rotate your API key and restart
your API.
