4 EASY STEPS FOR GETTING YOUR WOLVERHAMPTON TAXI BADGE 

The process for applying for a Wolverhampton taxi badge is one of the simplest
council’s to get your taxi licence. The process is simple and you can then work
as a private hire taxi driver.



The total cost for a Wolverhampton taxi badge is £233.48, for a 1 year licence.
If there are no problems. The cost for a 3 year licence is £289.48.




ENTRY REQUIREMENTS



 1. 

1. You need a full GB driver’s licence and need to have the licence for at least
12 months.

2. Valid taxi medical done – in the last 4 months





3. Proof of your right to work in the UK



4. Full enhanced DBS – See below



5. DVLA licence check – See below



6. Do the taxi assessment programme



7. You need an email address which is yours



8. You need to be over 18 years of age





It normally takes 30 working days for your licence if everything is okay.



You can then apply online for your Wolverhampton taxi badge here.




STEP 1 – YOUR TAXI MEDICAL – £49.99

Running total £49.99

Firstly, you need to get your taxi medical done! You can book your taxi
medical here. Once you are declared medically fit to drive you can continue your
application for a Wolverhampton Taxi badge. You will get the certificate on the
day of your medical. This is provided you are fit to drive.


STEP 2 – YOUR DBS AND LICENCE CHECK £79.49

Running total £129.48

Secondly, you need to apply for the DBS and licence check. The DBS check looks
for any criminal offences you have committed in the past. Whereas the licence
check looks for any driving offences committed.

Applications are made through the TaxiPlus Wolverhampton website.

The application can take 10-14 days but most checks are done within 24 hours.


STEP 3 – TAXI ASSESSMENT PROGRAMME £40

Running total £169.48

After your medical and DBS check needs to go attend a 6 hour course. At the end
of the course, you have a written multiple-choice question test. You need to
score 75% to pass.

STEP 4 – APPLICATION FOR THE WOLVERHAMPTON TAXI BADGE £64.00

Running total £233.48

Lastly, if you apply for a 1 year Wolverhampton Taxi badge the cost is £64.00.
For a 3 year badge it is £120.00. However, this is non refundable. Furthermore,
you can apply here and there is a checklist for everything you need to apply.

The average time for the application currently is 8 weeks.


CONCLUSION

In Conclusion, the Wolverhampton Taxi badge is easy to get and costs £233.48 for
a 1 year licence or £289.48 for a 3 year licence. In addition to this you need
to apply for the Wolverhampton taxi badge for your vehicle, unless you are

       As long as you have your licence for more than 12 months then it’s okay.
       That’s what the Wolverhampton council website says.
