QMUNITY DISTRICT The District establishes a welcoming, inclusive, and affirming place for LGBTQ+ people and families in the South Bay where #WeAreCommunity. The new district will feature shopping, socializing, dining, networking, and nightlife in Downtown San José on Post Street from S. 1st to S. Market Streets. EVENTS Thank you for visiting the District and building Qmunity with us throughout 2022. We are excited to share our 2023 event schedule with you soon! Visit Site RECOGNIZING COMMUNITY VOICES The South Bay community is encouraged to join the quest to re-imagine Post Street. Share your input and contribute to the vision of the Qmunity District. Start Questionaire THE GOAL Qmunity District will showcase LGBTQ+ diversity, expression, talent, history, and cultural arts. The District creates a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ owned and supportive ally businesses, organizations, community groups, residents, and visitors. The District officially launched in Summer 2020 with an initial investment by the City of San José and support from District 3 Councilmember Raul Peralez, bringing new signature lighting, maple trees, urban art, street swag, and the first LGBTQ+ mural. This is just the first phase of a multi-part project.
