Learn More When it comes to Bluetooth speakers, there is only one name that springs to mind, and that is JBL. Despite the vast amount of options and the presence of well-known brands such as Sony and Bose in the market, JBL remains synonymous with Bluetooth speakers. After all, JBL was the first firm to publicly announce a 4′′ diaphragm driver, which revolutionized the audio industry. But we’re not here to showcase JBL because we all know how excellent they are; instead, I’ll teach you how to pair two JBL speakers. So please bear with me and stay with me all the way to the conclusion. JBL has a huge portfolio of Bluetooth speakers, and a bunch of them come in line-ups that launch each year for the successors of the older generation. They come with different pairing features. That’s why below I will list the Bluetooth speakers of JBL and their pairing features. You will find the following features: * Connect * Connect+ * PartyBoost This native technology from JBL lets you connect multiple speakers from JBL in order to create a surround sound or simply a louder sound if one speaker is not enough. For example, the PartyBoost, which is the latest one, lets you connect up to 100 speakers together. This is really insane. I can only imagine what you could do with 100 speakers paired together. I guess that’s just a pipe dream. JBL Connect Feature JBL Connect+ Feature JBL PartyBoost Feature JBL Flip 3 JBL Flip 4 JBL Flip 5, Flip 6 JBL Charge 3 JBL Xtreme 2, JBL Pulse 4, Pulse 5 JBL Pulse 2 JBL Pulse 3 JBL Boombox 2 and 3 JBL Clip 2 JBL Charge 4 JBL Xtreme 3 With all of this in mind, you should be aware that the speakers must be compatible in order to communicate with one another due to the fact that they use various connection protocols. Another thing to keep in mind is that the communication methods used by JBL are not backward compatible. Except for the JBL Charge 3, no prior model can upgrade to ‘Connect+’ or ‘Party Boost.’ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HOW TO PAIR: CONNECTING TWO JBL BLUETOOTH SPEAKERS We’re all aware of how loud JBL speakers can get and how bass-heavy their sound characteristic is, but sometimes that’s not enough. Even if you had the loudest speaker, such as the JBL PartyBox 1000, which I believe is the loudest Bluetooth speaker in the JBL portfolio, if not in the market. In any case, even that isn’t always enough. If you’re throwing a large backyard party, a single Bluetooth speaker will struggle to keep everyone entertained, which is where the pairing of two or more speakers process comes into play. * First thing first, make sure all Bluetooth speakers are working properly and are turned on. * Select which speaker will serve as the primary speaker and hit the Bluetooth button to begin the pairing process. * The next step is to go to your Bluetooth settings on your smartphone, Mac, or even Windows PC and look for available devices. * Now you connect your audio source to the primary speaker by selecting it. * Now that we’ve paired our primary speaker, you’ll only hear music from one speaker. Now that we connected our audio source to the speaker, It’s time to connect the rest of the speakers with our primary speaker. * Locate the Connect Button on your JBL primary speaker; please note that connect buttons are different for different protocols; the Connect and Connect + buttons are nearly identical, with the exception that the Connect+ button has a + on it, and the PartyBoost button is shaped like an hourglass/infinity symbol(it make sense why). * Now, on the secondary speaker, press the ‘Connect Button’ and wait for the audio cue to say that it is ready to connect. * That’s it, you’ve simply connected the extra speaker to your primary speaker, and the music should now be in sync in both speakers. * Repeat this simple method for additional speakers. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQS) REGARDING JBL SPEAKER CONNECTION WHAT JBL SPEAKERS CAN YOU CONNECT WITH ONE ANOTHER? All of them pretty much can connect with one another if they follow the same communication protocol, as I mentioned above. To make sure if your JBL Bluetooth can connect together would be wise for you to go and do some research prior to buying them with that objective in mind. WHY AREN’T MY JBL SPEAKERS PAIRING OR CONNECTING? If this occurs I assume that it is due to them not being compatible with one another. You can try resetting your JBL speakers and try again to see if this might be an “inside” problem WHY CAN’T I JUST CONNECT ALL OF THEM TOGETHER? Although it is the same brand, they have different communication protocols and different technology implanted in them. Indeed it would be easier just to connect them, but for example, the PartyBoost is a much more innovative protocol than the Connect one, hence why they don’t do well with one another. HOW MANY JBL SPEAKERS CAN YOU CONNECT? If I were to say infinity, I wouldn’t lie, because with the PartyBoost you can connect up to 100 speakers, and we know that is pretty much impossible to do so or if you hold a party and ask every guest to bring a JBL speaker with him. FINAL WORDS, CONCLUSION So, hopefully, everything was clear and you were able to connect your JBL speakers to one another. I’ll remind you once more that before you buy JBL speakers, make sure you check that they’re compatible with one another. I can’t tell you which speaker to buy because they’re all fantastic in their own way, with some excelling at the sound quality, some excelling at portability while sounding great, and so on. Until next time, have a pleasant listening experience.
