CANDIDATE STATEMENT - RICHARD CRAWFORD

There is no I in team, and that is what it takes to direct and advocate for our
district. I am a proven collaborator and leader within our community and strive
to develop these skills. Working through our community board this triennium has
allowed my leadership, knowledge and skill set required to step up into a
councilor role. Making sure all ethnicities, ages and the future is always being
taken into consideration with any decisions made but also not burdening the rate
payer with the bill where possible.

 Maketu / Te Puke ward is a fast-growing part of Western Bay District with many
decisions to be considered around the three waters and RMA and how do we keep up
with future growth. The best way forward is community and council working
together keeping it local

Electing me as a councilor will be electing a positive influence for our
district.
