A PARADIGM SHIFT FOR REDUCING HAIS AND READMISSIONS

Due to the recent rise in healthcare-associated infection (HAI) rates, the CDC
has called on hospitals to reinforce existing protocols and address gaps in
prevention practice. Nasal carriage has been known to play a key role in the
pathogenesis of infections and contributes meaningfully to colonization
pressure. Sustainable reduction of nasal colonization has proven effective at
reducing HAIs. This webinar discusses a proven Active Source Control strategy
aimed at decreasing colonization pressure to reduce risk of infections and
readmissions at your facility.

Learning Objectives:

 1. Understand colonization pressure and how nasal colonization impacts the risk
    of MRSA/MSSA HAIs and readmissions.
 2. Describe how an Active Source Control strategy reduces MRSA/MSSA infection
    risk in hospitals.
 3. Identify how to implement a program that mitigates nasal colonization risk
    in your facility.
