香港实业家袁弓夷在当地时间8月16日于旧金山进行的一场演讲中表示，中共盗用了“中华人民共和国”国号，中共50权贵家族借政权敛财，拥有高达10万亿美元财富。 据《看中国》报导，袁弓夷在演讲中谈到香港一度哽咽落泪。 他说，在帮助大陆方面，香港人一向排在第一位，从1991年华东水灾到2008年汶川地震，香港各界都踊跃筹款募捐，中共推行所谓的改革开放，香港商人更积极参与，输入资金、人才、管理经验与模式，获得没有香港就没有中国经济奇迹的评价，但中共却恩将仇报，甚至强推国安法破坏香港自由民主环境： “中国的第一家外资企业，第一家合资企业，第一家五星级饭店，第一条高速公路等全都由香港资本帮助完成”。“港人在中国的直接投资累计超过1万亿美金，超过外国直接投资总额的一半。”“（香港）也是全球最大的离岸人民币业务中心，超过四分之三的全球人民币结算业务都是在香港完成。” 中共不仅对港人恩将仇报，对身在大陆的中国人也极尽压榨，漠视人权乃至生命，通过吸血获取大量财富。袁弓夷早前曾在采访中曝光中共权贵家族拥有10万亿美元财富。 这次他在演讲中进一步说，高达10万亿美元的财富为50中共权贵家族占用，这些权贵通过高盛、华尔街之流再赚取高额利润，红二代、红三代到美国读书，受最好的教育，毕业后又到华尔街工作，而中国百姓就一直被压榨： “这10万亿美金中，江泽民家族就有1万亿。”“整个架构就是，50个家族在最顶，操控下面的9,000万党员，最底层的就是被剥削的中国人民”“这不是国家，‘共和国’的意思是老百姓可以做主；在中国，百姓何时投过票？何时看到过国家预算？” 袁弓夷指，恩将仇报根本不是中华传统，中共也不符合“中华”一词，它奉行马列主义、苏俄文化，盗用了“中华人民共和国”国号。 他在演讲中明言，面对这样一个政权，自己的立场不是反共，而是灭共，“反共反到我孙子那一代，都未必有成果，我要灭共！” 他并倡议：把中共定为跨国犯罪集团，并审判9,000万党员，不想和中共同流合污的人“可以退党，有退党机制，这不是问题”，但一天是犯罪集团的成员，都会被全世界通缉。 目前国际间有人提出“以共灭共”的口号，但袁弓夷并不认同。他在演讲中也提到这一点，并以邓小平为例解释说，邓打倒了四人帮，但又制造了六四惨案，“共产党的百年历史就是斗争的历史，一派打倒另一派，到最后还是共产党”，中共作为一个独裁政权，“没有法治，权力不受制衡，能不贪污吗？” 此外，袁弓夷还专门谈到香港局势，表示会就中共单方面撕毁《中英联合声明》一事，在二、三个月内向英国法院提出起诉，要求中共把香港主权交还英国，“香港自古以来就是中国的一部份”，但中共不代表中国，香港是中国一部份，但不是中共的一部份。
