Welcome to the first article in our ‘XDC Staking’ series. In this article, we
will explain everything you need to know about the new Liquid Staking system.


WHAT IS LIQUID STAKING?…

Numerous masternodes run the XDC Network. To start a masternode you need 10m
XDC. The person running the node is required to complete the KYC process and
cover any hosting expenses. The masternode rewards are very lucrative but not
many people can start a masternode due to the expenses and expertise that are
needed.

PrimeStaking removes these barriers to entry and makes it accessible for all XDC
holders to earn from the XDC masternodes with our Liquid Staking system. You
stake your $XDC and in return, you receive $pstXDC at a 1:1 ratio which is a
liquid asset that can be used across our eco-system whilst your $XDC is staked
in one of the masternodes.


SO HOW DOES THE LIQUID STAKING WORK?…

Users mint an XDC Vault from the staking platform which is their gateway to
staking their $XDC. It costs 100 XDC to mint an XDC Vault plus whatever the
transaction fee is. Upon staking your $XDC inside the vault you receive $pstXDC
tokens at a 1:1 ratio which are a liquid staking derivative that represents your
staked $XDC.

Whilst your $XDC is locked in the vault, it participates in the XDC Masternode
system which generates rewards. Rewards are credited periodically to your vault
and this is reflected in your vault balance.

Whilst your $XDC is earning you rewards in your vault the $pstXDC tokens you
received when you staked your $XDC can be used in various DeFi applications such
as lending, trading, or providing liquidity.

When you come to unstake your $XDC the $pstXDC in your wallet gets burnt and you
receive your $XDC back at a 1:1 ratio.


WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE XDC VAULTS?…

The XDC Vaults offer many benefits…

 * A simplified staking process removes the complexity of setting up a
   masternode and the large expenses that come with it. Our Liquid Staking
   system makes masternode rewards accessible to everyone.
 * No costs or expertise needed! Setting up a masternode is a very technical
   process and comes with numerous hosting costs. Prime Numbers takes care of
   all that, all you have to worry about is your XDC Vault!
 * Users can remain liquid whilst their $XDC is staked in a vault by using the
   $pstXDC they receive across various parts of our ecosystem.
 * XDC Vaults are designed to support a large number of users and adapt to
   protocol upgrades seamlessly.
 * All Vault transactions are recorded on-chain providing users with a clear and
   auditable trail of their staking activity. Our audited smart contracts ensure
   your funds are safe and all transactions are transparent.


WHAT ARE MASTERNODE VAULTS?…

If you have a spare 10m XDC then you can mint a Masternode Vault and enjoy the
rewards from an XDC Masternode without going through the hassle of setting one
up yourself. The platform retains 0.35% of the 8% APY with the other 7.65% APY
going to the person who minted the Masternode Vault. Besides needing 10m XDC to
mint a Masternode Vault everything else remains the same as the XDC Vaults.


IN CONCLUSION…

XDC masternodes are very rewarding and the XDC Vaults offered by PrimeStaking
are the best way to stake your XDC and earn rewards from the masternodes. The
XDC Vaults are super secure and very user friendly so literally anyone can stake
their XDC regardless of their knowledge about masternodes or the XDC Network.
