Given the Canadian Government's recent updated travel advisory for Canadians to
avoid non-essential travel outside of Canada, as well as the upcoming suspension
of the short trip PCR test exemption, the CBSA will temporarily suspend
NEXUS/FAST interviews at enrollment centers (EC) in the United States (U.S.)
starting Monday, December 20, 2021 until further notice. This will be
re-evaluated as the border measures evolve.

Please consult the CBSA website frequently for all updates on the resumption of
NEXUS/FAST interviews, log into your account to check the status of your
interview, and schedule another one if required in the Trusted Traveler Programs
portal.

The Trusted Traveler Programs (Global Entry, TSA PreCheck®, SENTRI, NEXUS, and
FAST) are risk-based programs to facilitate the entry of pre-approved travelers.
All applicants are vetted to ensure that they meet the qualifications for the
program to which they are applying. Receiving a "Best Match" or program
recommendation based on eligibility or travel habits does not guarantee
acceptance into any Trusted Traveler program.

Attend your in-person appointment to provide fingerprints, supply citizenship

Once approved, add your Known Traveler Number to your airline reservations and

Applicants who are conditionally approved can complete their interviews upon
arrival into the United States at an Enrollment on Arrival location or by
scheduling an appointment at an Enrollment Center.

If you are flying internationally into the US within the next 6 months we
encourage you to complete your Global Entry enrollment at an Enrollment on
Arrival (EoA) location as an alternative to scheduling an interview at an
Enrollment Center.

FAST North provides full benefits at both borders. If an applicant is approved
for FAST North, they may not need to apply for FAST South. However, if an
applicant is approved for FAST South, they will need to apply again for FAST
North for FAST processing into Canada.

Login.gov is an authentication platform shared by United States government
agencies to streamline the login process and to allow the public to securely
access personal information and federal government services. After creating a
Login.gov account or logging in to your existing Login.gov account, you will be
directed back to this site to begin filling out your application.

WHAT WILL I NEED TO FILL OUT A PROGRAM APPLICATION?

DOCUMENTS

Documents needed for TSA PreCheck®: Proof of citizenship (birth certificate or
passport) or Permanent Resident Card

For Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI or FAST, you will need some documents for the
application process, and you will also need to bring these documents to your
interview. The documents needed depend on your citizenship and your chosen
program. The documents may include:

 * Proof of citizenship
 * Passport (required for Global Entry)
 * Proof that you are allowed to enter the United States
 * Permanent Resident Card (if you are a Lawful Permanent Resident of the United
   States).
   
   Note: This card must have a machine readable zone if you are applying for
   Global Entry.

 * Valid driver's license
 * Proof that you live at the address you provide for your current address

INFORMATION

You will also need this information:

 * An email address (in order to create a Login.gov account)
 * Address history for the past five years
 * Employment history for the past five years
 * International Travel history for the past five years
 * Court documents (if you have ever been convicted of a crime other than a
   traffic violation)
 * Vehicle information (if you plan on driving across the border from Mexico
   into the United States)
 * Phone number(s)
 * Documentation to prove any other citizenships (if any)

The Global Entry Program is designed for travelers who annually make frequent
international trips.

If you do not have plans to travel internationally in the next 6 months may we
recommend applying for the TSA PreCheck® Program.

Current Global Entry application processing times:
For new Global Entry applicants, the processing time for an application can
exceed 90 days. A full background check will be completed to ensure our
potential members qualify for expedited processing into the United States.
