Duties and responsibilities


● Ensure compliance with global best practices associated with ISO27001,
ISO27701, GDPR and similar global data protection policies as they emerge.
● Proactively review the current environment, looking for opportunities, large
or small, to “batten down the hatches” and to secure the environment.
● Lead security-related projects across the organisation, taking a hands-on
approach to implementation.
● Work with our 24x7 NOC/SEIM/SOC to ensure constant threat detection and
reactivity are in place and optimised
● Provide technical security consultancy where required for new projects
● Owning and managing technical security platforms and tools that manage, test
and measure security protection, including those used for regular
penetration/defence testing.
● Managing black/white-box testing in accordance with an annual schedule.
● Maintain your personal certification in information protection, and maintain
an up-front awareness of what is happening in the marketplace regarding
information and data protection.
● Play an consultative role in the suggestion, procurement and implementation of
technology and services which can help Dataflow achieve its security vision.

Minimum requirements
● Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in technology
engineering or technology security
● A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of Information and data
protection
● A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar data protection role in a
large enterprise institution
● Demonstrable knowledge of GDPR, ISO27001 and ISO27701, having worked with
these standards in the past
● Thorough understanding of network security, design and protocols
● Thorough understanding of infrastructure components such as databases, servers
and cloud-based services
● The passion and drive to make a difference by your own actions rather than
simply accept the status quo.
