WELCOME TO SRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI GURDWARA – TELFORD.

We are located in Telford (Shropshire, UK) and provide a wide range of community
and religious support services, within a newly modernised 30,000 sq. ft.
Gurdwara Sahib with over 200 parking spaces.

We are a dynamic and forward-thinking Gurdwara committed to sharing the
teachings of the Sikh Guru’s. Our work is underpinned by a strong passion for
preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Sikh tradition, whilst at the same
time adopting technology, providing enrichment and focusing on a new approach to
leadership.

THE TEACHINGS OF GURU NANAK DEV JI PROVIDES US WITH OUR CORE GOVERNING
PRINCIPLES:

Naam Japna – to connect with WAHEGURU (God) through prayer, meditation and
gratitude

Kirat Karni – to earn an honest living throughout a truthful life

Vand Chakna – to dedicate one’s resources to selflessly support others in their
spiritual, mental and physical wellbeing

We achieve this by coming together in SANGAT (like-minded fellowship) through
the provision of a safe, warm place for people to grow stronger in their faith,
make new friends and support each other through life’s journey. Our principles
apply equally, across gender, race and religion.



We have no Management Committee, President or Mukh Sevadaar (Head Volunteer).
All of our Sevadaars (Volunteers) are unpaid and work alongside their peers in
the daily operation and strategic development of the Gurdwara Sahib.

AS SIKHS, OUR CORE BELIEF IS THE EXISTENCE OF ‘ONE GOD’ WITH LOVE AND EQUALITY
FOR ALL OF HUMANITY.

We embrace our three founding principles, by maintaining and promoting
discipline over the anger, greed, lust, attachment and ego. As a martial race we
have physically defended our right to exist. These principles, alongside our
artistry are the reasons for our survival.


SRI GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI IS OUR LIVING GURU.

An embodiment of the lessons and guidance of the ten Sikh Guru’s. We take
guidance from Guru Ji on a daily basis, by meditating on the divine wisdom of
the message, whilst selflessly serving others.

The Gurdwara Sahib has excellent transport links. A few minutes from M54
Junction 4. A 10 minute walk from Telford Central Station and 45 minutes from
Birmingham International Airport (BHX).
