QUINNIPIAC INNOVATIONS IN LEARNING AND TEACHING

Formerly the Office of Learning Design and Technology

Our learning management system (LMS) evaluation has begun. Teams across the
university have launched an evaluation of our current LMS, Blackboard Original.

EDUCATIONAL JOURNEYS.

In partnership with faculty experts, we're dedicated to designing learning
experiences that resonate with today’s digitally-native learners. Our services
are extensive, from strategizing program structures to crafting detailed course
designs, from producing engaging learning media to implementing evidence-based,
inclusive teaching strategies and integrating the latest technologies in online
and traditional face-to-face educational environments.

Our advocacy extends beyond these services as we champion the development of a
robust infrastructure that fosters the creation of innovative, effective
learning experiences by reimagining physical and digital learning spaces and
constantly exploring the next frontier of emerging technology.

Through these efforts, we aim to equip educators and learners with the tools and
insights needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving world, ensuring that our
educational approaches remain dynamic, inclusive, and forward-thinking.

Our services include expert-led Course Reviews that adhere to Quality Matters
and QU standards, offering actionable insights for educational excellence,
Course Redesign to refresh and improve existing curricula, and Course Design for
creating engaging new courses or transitioning them online. Additionally, our
Learning Media service enhances course materials with specialized media and
tools. We also offer services for Program Design/Operations and Programming and
Training, which focus on developing sustainable and efficient educational
programs and customized faculty development on specific topics using
evidence-based practices.

We ensure inclusivity in our work through Accessibility Reviews that optimize
courses for Universal Design for Learning.

Together, these services aim to improve teaching and learning experiences,
promote inclusivity, and support the development of robust, effective
educational programs.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) RESOURCES

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has rapidly transformed the landscape of a
university education, introducing groundbreaking opportunities and challenges
for institutions, educators, and students alike. Universities globally are
adapting to this technological evolution by developing specialized AI programs,
incorporating AI tools into teaching methodologies, and conducting research that
pushes the boundaries of what AI can achieve.

QILT has created an AI resources page with links to articles exploring the
latest developments in AI technology within the educational sector, highlighting
its impact on teaching, learning, and institutional administration. Also
included on the page is a link to our AI in the Classroom Hub which contains
information and resources for ensuring our courses reflect the latest
