LEADING INITIATIVES THAT MAKE A SUSTAINABLE IMPACT

The Independence Blue Cross Foundation is a partner, leader, problem-solver, and
collaborator — working with like-minded organizations to serve the unique and
complex needs of communities. The Foundation's approach goes beyond funding to
create meaningful change for those who need it most.

THE INSTITUTE FOR HEALTH EQUITY

The Foundation is spearheading a five-year, $15 million commitment to promote
systems-level change to advance health equity, regionally and nationwide. The
Institute's focus is equity in medicine, digital health, and maternal health.

STRENGTHENING HEALTH CENTERS

Through the Blue Safety Net Program, the Foundation is increasing access to care
in medically under-resourced communities. Since 2011, the Blue Safety Net
program has awarded more than $30 million to more than 70 private, nonprofit
community health centers across Southeastern Pennsylvania. Read More

SCHOOL-BASED MENTAL HEALTH

In collaboration with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the Foundation is
improving equitable access to mental health services and supports by meeting
children where they are — at school. Read More

HEALTHCARE WORKFORCE

Through the Nurses for Tomorrow® program, the Foundation supports the future of
the healthcare workforce with scholarship funding for undergraduate, graduate,
and doctoral nursing students across 22 nursing schools in Southeastern
