TURN THE LIGHTS OFF

Tally Hall

Infodump incoming!

Tally Hall is a 2000s indie rock band from Ann Arbor, Michigan. It consist of 5
members, each having an individual color coded tie - Joe Hawley, Rob Cantor,
Andrew Horowitz, Zubin Sedghi and Ross Federman. There's also Bora Karaca, a
bonus member. Before releasing their debut album, they had a few EPs and a demo
album named Complete Demos. In 2005, the debut album was released, the name is
"Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum". It features 15 tracks, with 2 bonus ones
in the newest version. The album's name is actually based on a real place.

In 2012, they released their second and last official album - Good & Evil. The
style is more polished than Marvin's. Not so long after releasing it, Tally Hall
broke up - although the members say they're on "indefine hiatus". But that's not
the end of the story - a lot of the band's members went on to release their own
solo albums and other works. Some even got pretty viral.

Before Tally Hall existed, the members took part in other bands or projects. Rob
Cantor & Zubin Sedghi were in a band named listedBlack, they released only 1 EP.
There also exist some live recordings of the band performing, but they're pretty
rare.

Andrew Horowitz and his brother, under the pseudonym "The Baker Bros", released
an album titled The Classical Album. A lot of Tally Hall members were also in a
band named Toy Orchestra. It's unknown when it was made exactly, as far as I'm
aware Tally Hall existed at that point.

Joe Hawley had his own comedy troupe named AnonyMous (Rob was also a part of
it). They made short skits, which would later be compiled onto a feature length
movie "Sargasm". The most popular thing to come out of it was the song Break It
Down.

Immediately after the band broke up, Joe Hawley started a new side project,
under the name Miracle Musical. It actually featured some members of Tally Hall
and other musicians. They released the concept album Hawaii: Part II, along with
the single Variations on a Cloud. Some of their songs, such as Murders and Dream
Sweet in Sea Major got pretty popular on TikTok and other platforms. On their
Bandcamp, you can find some bonus stuff - such as a cover of Candle on the
Water, a demo compilation album and 8-bit remixes.

More coming soon!

I actually used to have a Minecraft server with one of my best friends, CDM39.
It was this survival thingy with plugins, custom structures etc. The peak of
online activity was 10 players iirc.

The server is still online, so if you wanna play, the ip is cdlight.ggs.gg (but
it might be closing soon, since we no longer update it and it's dead).

Here are some screenshots taken during the golden age of the server:

Another server, this time a creative and private one. Made by CDM39, I'm the
co-owner. CDM Creative is honestly massive. The server's history is pretty big
too. Well, here's some screenshots of the builds.
