The cottage overlooks Ben Lomond to the north and open fields and forestry to the south. Lomond View cottage is situated off a quiet forest road and with a secure garden, is ideal for children and pets. We are a dog friendly cottage and dogs stay for free. (Maximum of two dogs) The cottage is appointed with all the mod cons you would expect from a 4 star cottage and comfortably sleeps 4 people. Off road parking is directly adjacent to the cottage. All electricity, gas, logs, towels and linen are included in the weekly charge. (No hidden charges!) The holiday cottage is in The Trossachs, a perfect location for walking and cycling with 500 kilometres of tracks and paths, quite literally, on your doorstep. There is something for everybody and your four legged friends from gentle strolls in the woods to serious hill climbing and munro bagging and for cyclists, safe easy family friendly routes to extreme single track for the more serious mountain biker. Carron Valley mountain bike centre is also a short drive away. We have a wide selection of maps, information on walks, cycle routes etc for you to read through to help plan your excursions for your holiday. Fishing, horse-riding, golfing, hill walking, Go-ape, Lake of Menteith Fisheries and water sports are all available nearby. There is so much to do in the surrounding area you may wonder how you are going to fit it all in. You may have to return! Alternatively, take some time to simply relax in our secluded south facing garden and look out for our visiting wildlife. The village of Aberfoyle is just a short 10 min stroll away down a well lit, quiet road where you will find a supermarket (open from 8am to 10pm 7 days a week), a variety of shops, bars and restaurants to supply you with all the food, entertainment and refreshments you will need for your stay. It is also an excellent base for touring with many tourist attractions and main cities all within an hours drive. There are also regular bus links from the village and excellent local taxi services. Most of the main supermarkets all deliver to Aberfoyle.
