The film’s pacing isn’t the greatest however it’s easy to see why it’s popular among children. The character design and animation is a combine of traditional and fashionable however it all works properly together. The voice performing isn’t excellent nevertheless it does a nice job of staying true to the characters. The casting is also quite strong with Chris Pratt as the title character, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach and Jack Black as Bowser. There’s a lot of gentle violence and fantasy action in the film that can keep viewers on their toes. There are a quantity of scenes where fingers get crushed in a piano, Mario and Luigi fight and both are chased by DryBones (living turtle skeletons).
