PROMOTING AND PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE FREEHOLD BOROUGH
SCHOOL DISTRICT


WHO WE ARE

The Freehold Borough Educational Foundation is a private, non-profit
organization founded in 1999 by a group of civic, educational and business
leaders to provide greater community support for our public schools.

The Foundation, managed by a voluntary Board of Trustees, brings value-added
opportunities which, due to budgetary constraints, would otherwise not be
available to our elementary school children. We are supplementing, not
replacing, state aid and local tax funded programs.




WHAT WE DO?

FBEF seeks to plant seeds of educational excellence by supporting creative
teaching efforts, innovative student development activities, and enhanced
community/school partnerships. The Foundation’s sole purpose is to promote and
provide educational opportunities for the Freehold Borough School District
(FBSD) by raising funds to underwrite innovative programs and projects.

Over time, Freehold Borough Educational Foundation has broadened its capacity by
providing a variety of programs throughout the school year for the students.

GRANTS IN ACTION

Grants are awarded to teachers with dynamic, engaging projects that facilitate
student development, encourage excellence through creative learning and
teaching, and promote school/community partnerships. The 2023 Grant is open
through Thursday, December 1, 2022.

If you can’t find just the right card or gift to show your appreciation for the
wonderful job your child’s teacher or a special staff member has done this past
