HOW CAN I BE SURE I'LL RECEIVE PAYMENT?

Once you receive a notification from us that your bicycle has been sold, the
buyer has already paid for the bicycle online. You will receive the payment as
soon as the bicycle has been either handed over to our shipping company or
personally collected by the buyer.

 


HOW DOES THE SHIPPING PROCESS WORK?

We send everything to pack and ship your bike. You choose a pick up date, and we
make sure the shipping company collects the bike. All you have to do is pack
your bike. We provide instructions on how to do that here. 


WHEN WILL I GET PAID FOR SELLING MY BIKE?

After your bike has been sold, the payment will be processed by our payment
service provider Adyen, and collected from the buyer. Once the bike has been
handed over, you can easily request a payout through your profile. You will need
to verify your bank account for the payout process.

 


IS THERE A FEE FOR SELLING A BIKE?

Creating an ad for your bicycle is free.

However, there is a small fee of 3.5% of will be deducted from the sale proceeds
upon a successful transaction.

CAN I CHOOSE THE BIKE PRICE?

Yes, of course. Based on your bike's model and condition, we'll suggest a
selling price for you. This suggested price aims to help you sell within a few
days. However, you can adjust the selling price at any time in your profile.

 


CAN I RETURN A BIKE?

If the bike does not match the description in the sales listing, you can return
the bike and receive a full refund. We will handle the return process and
facilitate the refund with the seller.

The return process usually takes between 5-10 business days.

Please note that a correctly stated but mismatched size is not a valid reason
for a return. If the bike has minor undisclosed defects that are easy to repair,
we will cover the repair costs.

Return requests and repair requests must be submitted to us through the Return
Form within 48 hours of receiving the bike, along with photos of the defects.

 


HOW LONG DOES SHIPPING TAKE?

Shipping typically takes between 7-14 business days from the time of purchase to
delivery. Immediately after the purchase, we send packaging material to the
seller. An additional check by buycycle usually takes an additional 2-3 business
days, assuming no repairs are needed. For shipping from the EU to the USA,
customs documents will be requested for your bike, which may delay shipping by
4-5 business days.

Do you need your bike by a specific deadline? Please let us know as soon as
possible.

 


CAN I TEST RIDE A BIKE?

If the bike is located nearby, a test ride is no problem. Once you have made the
payment for the bike online, you will receive the contact information of the
seller. You can now arrange a test ride with the seller directly.  If the bike
doesn't meet your expectations or differs from the sales listing, no worries!
Simply decline the pickup, and the payment will be automatically canceled and
you will get a full refund.


WHAT'S THE BUYER PROTECTION FEE?

The Buyer Protection (buycycle fee) is a small percentage of the bike's sales
price. It’s usually 5%, but it varies with the buyer's country. We charge this
fee to keep buyers safe: if there are major discrepancies between the purchased
bike and the sales ad, we'll take care of the return.

 


WHERE DOES BUYCYCLE OFFER SHIPPING?

In addition to Germany, we currently offer shipping to the following countries:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Luxembourg,
Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Slovakia, Spain, Czech Republic,
Hungary, Norway, Switzerland, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece,
Cyprus, Italy, Bulgaria, USA, UK. If your country isn't listed, feel free to
contact us.

 


CAN I NEGOTIATE THE PRICE?

Yes. As a buyer, you can send offers to the seller. The seller can then accept,
reject, or send a counteroffer in return. Send your offer by contacting the
seller from the bike's listing. If you don't want to receive offers for your
listing, please contact us. 


WHAT ARE BUYCYLE'S MAIN ADVANTAGES?

 
buycycle makes selling and buying pre-owned bikes as easy as any online shop. As
a buyer, you buy a bike with a click. We'll ship to you, or you can pick it up.
We also keep you safe from scams and fraud. And we offer Buyer Protection for an
easy return process. For sellers, we take care of the entire shipping and
payment process for you. We send everything needed to pack and ship your bike.
We also arrange collection directly from your home. You're always 100% safe with

MY PAYMENT WAS DECLINED. WHAT CAN I DO?

If your payment is declined, this may be due to your bank's daily limit for
online transactions. You can usually contact your bank online or by phone to
increase the limit. We also have other payment options available, including
Affirm. However, please note that payment providers like this need sufficient
credit history to authorize high value purchases like bikes.
