You can identify these by following the steps below. The numbers at the bottom of your check include a 9-digit Routing & Transit Number, your Account Number, and your Check Number. Ignore any special characters that may look like this: Step 1: Find your Routing & Transit Number The first 9 numbers from the left at the bottom of your check are your Routing & Transit Number. This number is always 9 digits. Step 2: Find your Account Number The numbers after the Routing Number are your Account Number. If you notice extra zeroes before or after your account number, please include them as part of your account number. Step 3: Find the Check Number The remaining numbers are your Check Number and should match the numbers in the upper right-hand corner of your check. This number is usually 4 digits, and may include a zero as the first digit. In the example below, the Routing & Transit Number is 123456780, the Checking Account Number is 0102034679 and the Check Number is 132.
