Latest News: Snap-on discloses data breach claimed by Conti ransomware gang Featured Deal: Automate Microsoft Windows tasks with this PowerShell training bundle CAN THIS COMPUTER BE UPGRADED FROM WINDOWS 7? As I understand things, its recommended to upgrade to 10 or 11, but I want to know if its possible given the specs. I tried searching, but didnt find anything really clear. Here are the specs, I can get more if this is insufficient: Windows 7 2009 Dell Intel i5 2400 CPU @ 3.10 GHZ 4 GB RAM 64 OS I also have the OEM serial number if that helps. I would have to check again for hard drive space. Try an in place upgrade from 7 to Windows 10 first, for this to be successful Windows 7 must be fully up to date and as you mention, enough free space on the HDD, warning, this may work but it being left so long before moving to Windows 10 a clean install of Windows 10 and the Dell system drivers will be required. This Dell will not be able to ever be upgraded to Windows 11 as the hardware is too old. If it's DDR3 you can buy it quite cheaply on eBay. And if you do decide it needs a bigger hard drive then give serious consideration to replacing the existing drive with an SSD, it makes a huge difference to booting times. I am going to recommend just buying a newer computer. Its probably going to cost the same as any hardware upgrades and the time to do all this stuff.
