     (02/12/2024) With the winter sports and activities season wrapping up,
     here’s a look at who’s heading to state, and how they fared when they

   * STUDENTS EARNING TOP GAINS IN THE DISTRICT HONORED AT ACADEMIC GROWTH AWARD
     RECOGNITION EVENT
     
     (02/10/2024) The district is honoring students earning top gains at
     Academic Growth Award recognition events Feb. 6 and 28.


 * * MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS CHALLENGED TO HAVE EVERYDAY COURAGE
     
     (02/09/2024) Seventh graders at Roosevelt Middle School (RMS) engaged in a
     “Courage Retreat” in January with the goal of strengthening friendships and
     relationships to make their school community a better place.
   
   
   * CHAMPLIN PARK GRAD GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY BY EMPOWERING YOUTH IN THE
     BROOKLYNS
     
     (02/09/2024) She didn’t travel the path she thought she would, but 2009
     Champlin Park High School (CPHS) graduate Chia Lee Xiong is where she is
     meant to be. After a stop at Three Rivers Park District doing community
     outreach work, Xiong is a data, evaluation and youth participatory action
     research coordinator at the Brooklyn Bridge Alliance for Youth (BBAY).
